In this new interview, Laura Dern talks about a forthcoming project with David Lynch!

The trend culminated when she was cast as the virginal girl next door in Lynch's "Blue Velvet, " the first of her three collaborations with the director (a fourth project is "cooking," according to Dern, but doesn't yet have a script).

I saw that! Every now and again these little things crop up... like that one from Laura Elena Harring some time back. Maybe it's the same thing.

I have no doubt that Lynch is working on something... but 'what' that might be, or in what form it currently exists, or even if we'll ever see it..well, who knows!

Friday's New York Times has a big article/interview with David, related to his foundation. There is this small tidbit related to an upcoming film:

A few months later, I reached Lynch by phone at his hotel room in Paris. Bob Roth had told me that Lynch said he was working on a new script and that it was typically dark. When I asked Lynch about this, he paused, annoyed. “Bobby’s got a big mouth,” he said. I asked him if the script was influenced by his work with T.M., and he said no, absolutely not. This will be a David Lynch picture, he said, adding, “I think people would probably recognize it.”

I could use some good news and hope this is it.
Of course, where ordinary projects are eventually 'green-lighted', Mr. Lynch's get a 'flashing yellow' at best.
