Ronnie Rocket on DV

Post by dugpa »

So what do you all think about the possibility of Ronnie Rocket being shot on DV?

After seeing INLAND EMPIRE, I think Lynch should go for it. Although I'm not sure if Michael Anderson would still be able to play the title character.

What do you all think?

I think it would be great, (about a short red head guy and electricity I seem to remember from one of the books), and one that DL wanted to do badly after Eraserhead. I thought he may have given up on that, I'm glad to hear that he's still thinking about it.

I'm very curious about Ronnie Rocket, I haven't read the script but the vague discriptions I've gotten sound pretty good.
Hopefully Michael Anderson will play the lead, he's great.

Somebody asked about this at the NFT the other night.

The answer is in the middle of these clips of the interview-

Interesting answer! The rest of the interview is pretty good too.

I read the script for Ronnie Rocket years ago and absolutely loved it. Unbridled imagination, to say the least. I'd love to see Lynch do it today.

I agree with all of this. And yes, while I really like LH, MD and IE, it'd be great to see him do something totally different again. But at the same time, I try not to entertain the hope of Ronnie Rocket making it to the big screen. I'm afraid it doesn't interest Lynch anymore.
