I still think that this version exist as standalone (it's ends when it reach climax with long last sound). It may be just short version of OST theme.

At episode 12 it is 'dark' version, not 'light' version used (list updated).

I think you are right Q- there is definitely a different ending in the episode 8 & 10 scenes. Kind of a "Love Theme (Short version)". And good catch on the other ep 12 scene- so the "Dark" version was heard twice.

I compared "Light Version" to "OST Version" and I'm sure that IT IS a different version.

I don't know how to explain in English but I hope you'll get what I mean

"Light" version's single piece of the main theme is longer - "OST"'s single piece is 14 seconds long, but "Light"'s piece is 15.5 seconds long (second sound is 1.5 second longer). It's a big difference in the theme's tempo.

It goes like this:

OST (8 tact points):
Daaa-Daaaaaa Daaa-Daaa-Tiii-Daaaaa, etc.

Light (9.5 tact points):
Daaa-Daaaaaaaaaaaa Daaa-Daaa-Tiii-Daaaaa, etc.

Also there is no background punctuation in this version.

PS The correct spelling is actually "Evelyn" I believe. No "e" at the end.

Wow- I spoke too soon!! The "Trail Mix" IS the bass version of "James & Evelyn"!!! Absolutely amazing. Easily one of my favorite tracks!! Thanks Dean! One of the biggest surprises and highlights from the Archive releases for me!! Why on earth didn't they use this???

Odd what they did with "Evelyn's Mourning". Instead of releasing either of the two unaltered original versions, they made a mix like in ep 22 which ends with part of "Laura Palmer's Theme (Solo Piano)".
