Complete Soundtrack Fight

Post by Jerry Horne »

We all know there is FWWM Fight to get the deleted scenes from the film released. However, is it time to start a fight to get the complete soundtrack to the series released?

Anyone else interested in this?

You had me at Complete. :)

Seriously, it's worth a shot. I have heard nothing in terms of a new soundtrack coming out. I've heard second hand from both Lynch and Badalamenti and neither expressed any interest in a another soundtrack.

I wonder how well the last one did. Anyone have a way of finding out?

A good thing to do would be to compile a list of all of the unreleased tracks. Maybe by Episode if possible as a reference and short description of the scene it falls on and list them on the page that way people will know what they are missing out on. I think there is a thread somewhere on this board.

I'll contribute with the FWWM Ones:

1. Dear Meadow Shuffle - Played during the Deer Meadow Sequences with Chet Desmond by Lynch and David Slusser - Released March 2011

2. RR Swing - Harmonica Riff played during the RR Scene when Laura is preparing to deliver Meals on Wheels - by Lynch and David Slusser

3. Fat Trout/Teresa Banks Theme (Uncredited) - Played during scenes at the Fat Trout Trailer Park with Chet Desmond, Sam Stanley, and Carl Rodd while investigating the murder of Teresa Banks

I think that's about all missing from FWWM other than Requiem which is already available.

Great idea Dugpa.

One thing that everyone can do to start things off (if you have a MySpace page) is add ABSURDA to your friends list. ABSURDA is Lynch's company that would release a complete Twin Peaks soundtrack box set.

Add now!

http://www.myspace.com/absurda

This would be a first step.

I love that cover too.

My track requests would be:

Remembrances
The music from the MT Wentz revelation scene at the Double R
James' Theme (when he's riding his motorcycle)
The unreleased full pieces that comprise the Twin Peaks montage on FWWM

Fantastic lists coolspringsj and jdh!. Just to be clear - I swiped that cover image from that other Lynch board.

I would also add that Lana had her own theme. I think sometime soon I will watch the entire series and take notes just on the music. I just wish we had official titles for all these tracks. It would make it so much easier!

That sounds like a huge undertaking. You should try and enlist some help. :)

One thing to note that the RR and even Doc Jacoby Hawaiian Music had multiple unique pieces, which is why I suggest citing some sort of reference to an Episode and Scene.

I will take Episode 29 and FWWM. :)

Much more than that, I'd probably not be able to find the time. I'm pretty sure there are only 3 pieces of music from FWWM. Episode 29 may have something unreleased...

I think if we can divide them up, we could come up with a pretty awesome list.

Maybe Charles will do the Pilot. :)

Most Impressive! Were you afraid of skipping a song by scanning ahead?

I've never been daunted by a project like this, just frustrated that I don't know the official names to many of the unreleased tracks.
