One more thing: I'm curious... How they made new 5.1 mix for the DVD? They used Archive as a source, don't they? Did they used original 2.0 soundtrack in the sequences with missing tunes? Dugpa, you did an interview with creators of this 5.1 mix few years ago. Did they mentioned that some tracks was missing? Just a thought...

To my knowledge, each track used for the 5.1 was cut to analog tape as separate edited stems.

I'll ask around. My guess is that the archive is taken from either original dat mixes or are being remixed from original sources. In the case of sycamore trees instrumental from the description it sounded like that was a remix from original source tracks.

"Dick Tremayne's Swing"! So we really are coming to an end...

Absolutely stunning release! I love every piece of that bundle. Finally few of my favorite tunes are here: "Such stuff...", "Audrey's Walk", "Jean Renault's Theme" and of course full version of "Dick Tremayne's Swing"! Finally! "llama Country" and the rest are also great! Thank you, thank you, thank you Dean!

There is one funny thing with "Dick Tremayne's Swing (Screen Edit)".

This is NOT really screen edit. The original screen edit was only a first 1:03 (with little echo after cut) of the original version. The presented version here is a remix I made 1,5 year ago from this short part used in the series. I had no idea at the time that Twin Peaks Archive will ever happen, I was tired of 20 years waiting for publishing this awesome music. So I ripped it from episode, cleaned it as much as it was possible, remixed to that extended version, and put it on the internet as a Christmas gift for TP fans. It came out pretty well I think. And now Dean recreated this mix from the original track (sorry Dean that you made extra work because of me... - I hope he liked my version ). So this is it, my small input in the Twin Peaks world...

I've just downloaded the Odds and Ends bundle and there's now only 8 tracks. The edit of Dick Tremayne's Swing has been removed.

The extended version of The Pink Room is manna from heaven.

It was fanmade at the start, but Dean recreated it for the bundle. Sorry to hear that it was removed

I'm sorry too, but after all if it wasn't something originally and officially created back in 1989-1991, then it shouldn't be that important.
But now I wonder if some of those unused tracks were actually created recently and were not part of the original work.
