Wow, now that we have Half Heart (Solo) I finally found out what the missing element from the James/Laura farewell medley is: It's a quarter speed recording of Stair Music/Danger Theme! That cue is even more creepy when pitched down to twice its length!

It can be heard briefly after Half Heart (Solo) when Laura suddenly cries out and James asks "What's wrong?".

Fantastic, finally all the elements come together!

Now we can have our dream!

I don't think there's any doubt we will get the alternate version of Shelly since it was streamed on Angelo's MySpace page.

Its not really an alternate though, right? Isn't it just a shorter version which omits a portion of the released version?

I'd have to compare, but the MySpace version has reduced percussion.

Yep, just checked and the percussion is down on the MySpace mix and the synths seem a tad louder.

And I just finally checked long Shelly instance in the episode 14 and IT IS released CD version but it's only intro and synth part looped (3,5 times). My mistake. It was loopes so clever that I assumed that it is version without bells (but it would be fantastic version IMO).

So... there is no another version of Shelly in my opinion. MySpace version is probably temporary mix made during CD preparation.

I don't have the myspace version anymore but I think it was just shorter than the released version, omitting the second half. But maybe there were percussion differences as Jerry said? Not sure.

I think I've noticed what may be an alternate or extended version of Wheeler's theme. It's in Episode 23, starting at about 39:56 and lasting til the end of the "I'm only 18" scene. There are audibly different guitar twangs, and it sounds more mellow and romantic.

Is' almost the same but there are few differences in it. I think it may be shorter version of this track.

- it has 1 more sound in the first part
- it has extra guitar after first part
- you can hear fingers moving over strings
- there is one different sound in the second part
- there is one 'false' sound in the second part
- second part is played in little different temp
- last sounds are played in different tempo

And thanks to Dean for releasing the original unaltered DOTDM. It would have been a shame if that one had remained unreleased.

It was also used in episode 28. It's definitely different version with additional guitar in the background.

It's easy to recognize them. Released version goes have main guitar first sound like that 2 + 2 + 1, the unreleased version have 2 + 2 + 2 and this guitar in the background after first part (very clear in the episode 28).

imho new Half Heart version should be titled as clean, not solo because it's not just sax solo in fact.

As well as OAMT & JRT (TV mix) title is doubtfully - OAMT sounds briefly as part of Night Life in TP...
