BTW, same question about "Wonderful world". Do we know anything about this piano version?
I'm not X-files fan but... damn, the truth is really out there!

Yes we know.

It's 1970's version with spoken intro (by Nick Cave) with Oliver Nelson Orchestra. It's 3:19 long. It was released on few CDs.

You can find original 1970's version also on Groveshark (from albums: "The Palladium Collection", "Christmas Through The Years", "Las 101 mejores Baladas del Universo CD 4", "The Fabulous Louis Armstrong", "Pure Jazz" or "RCA Victor 80th Anniversary Sampler").

The version you may find (with 'spoken' word in search) on YouTube is not the original release. It's actually a mix of both versions: intro from 1970's version and the rest from 1969 's version.

Probably it's a Jenö Jandó with Budapest Symphony Orchestra, conducted by András Ligeti from album "Piano Concertos" released in 1989.

Doesn't appear to be it. If anyone ever tracks down the exact version used, please post it here. Thanks.

If you compared it with the boot version, consider that all tracks from the boot are in little different speed. So if it doesn't match, doesn't mean it isn't it. As you know even TPA's 'cool jazz' elements track doesn't fit to each other, and all the boot tracks are little too slow (more or less 1%).

No- I never had the "Grieg" piece on my boot. Did you? I compared it to an extraction from the episode itself. They are different, not just the tempo. Of course there are probably 100s(?) of recordings of that piece of music, so finding the exact one might be... pretty tough.

Well, it's been two weeks since the music from Twin Peaks ended.

Will 'On The Air' start tonight?

Forgive me if I missed this info in this massive thread, but has anyone figured out what it costs to buy all of these tracks? I figured I'd wait until they were all released, now it seems like it's a much bigger collection than I had imagined.

Now that the Archive has ended (though here's hoping we'll be surprised!) I'm curious to see how you would rank the series' music. In particular I'm curious about Ross' list since his first version was made around halfway through the archive. I'm a bit of a countdown nut, so at some point I may post my own list.

I really loved the James and Evelyn bundle. All of the slow/half-speed orchestral tracks were dynamite as well. Still cant believe it was all released.

-Bookhouse Boys (Archive Version)
-Half Speed Orchestra (Stair Music/Danger Theme)
-Laura Palmer's Theme (Ethereal Pad Version)
-Owl Cave
-Audrey's Prayer

Hello.

I had recently bought the Twin Peaks Archive complete pack from DL.com. For better orientation in files, I had manually assigned numbers from wikipedia page to every MP3 file. But I found, that some track are missing. These are the tracks:

107. "Dark Mood Woods (Studio Version)"
108. "One-Eyed Jack's Parlor Music (Piano)" (*)
109. "Twin Peaks (Christmas Greeting)" (+)

Could anybody confirm this?
