Just got word that this weeks release will be delayed and hopefully be available next Thursday.
Thanks for the heads up, Dugpa. At least I won't stay up all night waiting for it now.

Not sure if I should make a thread of it's own for this, but it's probably a reasonalby small topic, (plus I may have seen it posted elsewhere, so I apologise if it has been!)

Was having a marathon session of listening to every track released from TP so far, and was once again blown away by the breadth and scope of Badalamenti and Pals' work.

Now, I'm sure that we all love the series' music as a whole for it's diversity, and removing a single element would remove the effects, but can I ask what everyone's favourite 'style' of music from the series is?

For instance, do you prefer the 'Jazziness' from tracks such as Freshly Squeezed?
Or the country n Western Slant provided by the Double R tracks/wheelers theme?

I personally if I had to pick a 'style' that I love most in the twin peaks canon, it would be the atmospheric pieces: Dark Mood Woods, Nightsea Wind, Black Lodge Rumble etc etc

Any thoughts?

very tough for me to pick. i feel like angelo and his band are at their most powerful with jazz pieces like dance of the dream man and freshly squeezed, but more atmospheric "songs" like the theme, laura palmer's theme and audrey's prayer are just as beautiful in their own right. then you have the slow speed stuff which is just pure bliss. its definitely a versatile piece of work, one which i'm glad is getting a proper release. we are lucky.

Extremely lucky;

It was such a delight when Season Two & More was released, but I was sad to think that there was so much missing from it, and doubted it would ever see any more released, as it was unlikely to be financially feasible for another disc release; Thank god for digital distibution, this is a case that disproves the naysayers of digital music!!

If there were to be a Sound Effects Bundle, what would you like to hear on it?

Some of my picks:
  • Blue Pine Lodge foghorn
    Little Mike's Indian whoop
    Leland's record player
    Palmer ceiling fan

There are some actual sound effects used repeatedly that would be cool to have. The "Nerve" of dark synth sounds, the scary sound stingers, etc.

Forgot to say thank you!

I've just explored some of it but already the first one I found marvelled me - Dark Mood Woods (or is it Dark Wood Moods?). The theme I fell in love with at first hearing... with Andy and Lucy right there in the elevator, in front of God and everybody. I knew Twin Peaks well enough to realise that this music that starts when Andy and Lucy kiss and goes on through most of the scenes until Coop sinks into the Lodge - that this music had not appeared in the show before and it was one of the things which made he last episode so special.

But there are so many that I love.

And then there are such that make me smile or even laugh - like Northwest Gulch, which sounds really cheesy to me, and still makes me feel good!

Don't forget there are two different versions of Dark Mood Woods on there. The 'Studio' version is nearly 10 minutes long and damn amazing.

If you go to the 'Albums' section and select 'Twin Peaks Archive', you can download everything for $55.95 - an incredible deal!

You probably know all this already though!

Do you probably mean "Blue Frank" - another theme from TP.STM&M album?
I'm not X-files fan but... damn, the truth is really out there!

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for an alternate version of Moving Through Time or any alternates that were never used.

Imagine if there were themes that were kept for Season 3 or a sequel to FWWM...
