My prediction is that it's either going to be "Americana" or the "Audrey's Prayer" alternate version where Audrey says goodbye to Cooper. Or the "Norwiegans are Leaving" music.

I'm hoping for some Audrey's Dance or Freshly Squeezed variations, 24 Hours, or some Windom Earle music.

Guy Quenneville wrote:-- Laura's Last Stand: Plays as Donna reads from the torn page of Laura's diary that Mrs. Tremond says was left for Donna by Harold. Starts with an almost circus-like rendition of the Laura Palmer theme, before segueing into Dance of the Dream Man as we flash back to Cooper's dream and the image of the Man from Another Planet dancing, before settling into the Laura Palmer Theme climax on keyboard.

Man From Another Place ;)

Not too crazy about the fade on 'Americana'. The hard ending is better - I wish they would have included that as well.

I expected original version + at least one longer (used in a series) version, and we have short, never used (in this version in a series) track. Well, better this than nothing, I'll re-work this for myself ;-).

But James Hurley (Outake) is a great unknown version of this track.

Nice to have this, but it's a shame that a longer loop wasn't made, possibly with the harsh ending mentioned above. There is one episode in which Americana plays for 1.17, with only James' motorcycle noise in the mix - that would have been a better loop version to try and emulate. Still, great to have Americana - just the full versions of Girl Talk, Birds In Hell and the piano Laura Palmer's Theme from the FWWM montage, and I'll have all my picks. Delighted with the Archive so far, despite the slight disappointment with Americana.

The dl.com write-up for "Americana" makes it sound like is was used quite a lot throughout the series. When in reality, I believe it shows up in only three episodes (5 scenes). I'll agree that its certainly a very memorable track though- most probably because of the James scene that starts episode 18.

Here's where it appears in the series:
Episode 1
-Very briefly mixed with a "noise" effect when Leo beats Shelly.

Episode 17:
Two scenes with Nadine:
-Ed & Jacoby talk to the asst. Principal (this is the full original version)
-Nadine's Cheerleader tryout

Episode 18:
-James rides out of Twin Peaks during the opening credits.
-briefly as James pulls into Wally's
"I can see half my life's history in your face... And I'm not sure that I want to."

That sequence in Ep 18 is the 1.17 looped version.
