Is anyone on the forum a fan of Miles Davis?

One of my favourite Davis records is a film score called Ascenseur Pour l'Échafaud, released in 1958. Here's the first track from it...


Now compare it to the main theme from Fire Walk With Me...


Has Badalamenti ever cited Miles Davis as an influence on his music?

yeah, noticed that. It's one of the most influencial soundtracks ever made so i reckon Badalamenti must've been influenced by it

The Bookhouse Boys reminds me even more of Miles Davis' score
