Xiu Xiu Twin Peaks RSD release
Anyone saw this? Looks like it should be good. Hopefully I can get a copy without the need for queuing through the night outside in the pishing rain.

Where we're from, the birds sing a pretty song, and there's always music in the air.

Looks awesome, but not being in the US my chances of getting it legitimately are less than zero.
Here are a couple of short clips about the performance at the Lynch exhibition. The first is a behind the scenes, the second an extract of the live performance.
The live clips has bits of The Pink Rom/Blue Frank, Sycamore Trees and Packard's Vibration

Video doesn't mention the date/location, but a full recording including all the 'theatrical' bits:
It's pretty good quality all things considered.

Re: Xiu Xiu Twin Peaks RSD release
Hey guys, I saw Xiu Xiu playing the music of Twin Peaks yesterday, April 10, in Offenbach, Germany. One word: amazing. Anyone who gets a chance to see them, do it. I particularly enjoyed the band's performance of Into the Night and Sycamore Trees, with Jamie Stewart on vocals. Falling was beautiful. For the final piece, the group's Shayna Dunkelman read a couple of pages from Laura's diary to some "dark mood" music, and suddenly Jamie went into "Mairzy Doats".
Xiu Xiu captured many moods that to me are "Twin Peaks" and gave a spectacular performance. To anyone who knows the group and Twin Peaks, "Xiu Xiu plays the Music of Twin Peaks" really is a combination of the two.
Btw, does anyone know about David Lynch's involvement in this project? The lady who announced the show said something along the lines of "Xiu Xiu are doing this at the request of David Lynch".
I was also very happy to find a copy of the 2LP RSD release on the merch table

This is on iTunes now, too.
I like this album even though it borders on being too "artsy" at times. I enjoy the unnerving take on songs that were already a little creepy to begin with.

Vinyl general release was yesterday! Local record store had it waiting for me. It's a lovely package. Vinyl is a bit warped, but that's typical these days. Some of Xiu Xiu's tracks were so distorted that I had to make sure my needle wasn't broken.
