The Windswept vinyl looks like it will be available at 1 EST, per the Italians do it Better Facebook page.

EDIT: It's up! 1:25PM

please report on sound quality, etc.
I've bought the colored editions. The vinyl is very clean!
No hiss or pops.

The poster however is a letdown. Very thin paper and bad print.

Windswept red wax is sold out. White is now for sale.

Barnes and Noble TP vinyl with Badalamenti signed print is "Temporarily Out of Stock Online".

Did they put the wrong performance Threnody To The Victims Of Hiroshima on the soundtrack? While I know Lynch rearranged it for part 8, it sounds like an entirely different performance. Isn't this the correct performance?

I had a busy day at record stores yesterday. My first guess for having the promo items came up short. They hadn't received any yet. I took a chance on another big indie and the guy behind the counter was cool and took down my name and number and said he would call me when/if they came in. On my way home I got the call! So I swung back, purchased the vinyl (song soundtrack) and they gave me two buttons, two keychains, a double sided promo poster and two each of the numbered art prints. The art prints are very cool and the RR one has a textured spot finish.

I got the vinyl of the soundtrack yesterday. Not the Roadhouse one. It's showing to me how good the music in this show was. I love how the emotion in Badalamenti's new pieces is both very human and tangible, but also alien, distant and towering.

Dark Space Low, Heartbreaking and The Fireman are among my favorites from the Limited Soundtrack album so far. Since both soundtrack cds were released, I've been mainly listening to both of them during the last two and a half weeks.

I just got my series soundtrack, runout etchings indicating the pressing plant are absent. It's there for the European ones though which were made at Optimal Media GmbH. About to listen to it, but I got sneaking suspicion these are more Rainbo copies and they were told to leave out those identifiers for a reason. lol

What leads me to this conclusion: Ameoba spoke up about the delay for those green variants, and stated that regular black copies for David Lynch's signing were being directly delivered that morning from the pressing plant. There are 4 pressing plants in California; Rainbo, Erika, Capsule Labs, and RTI. Knowing Rhino's track record (and track record for all their other Warner owned subsidiaries) these were very likely farmed out to Rainbo. I bring this up because that's where Death Waltz had those reissues done and there were a lot of issues.

EDIT: if it's indeed a Rainbo I got super lucky because 2 sides in and it sounds immaculate. Vinyl itself aside, the mastering job by Bernie Grundman is absolutely DIVINE.

EDIT 2: Second disc is DISHED and there's near constant static in the right channel. Think I know the culprit. :(

They don’t. ( I have the coloured vinyl versions) In fact they are both pretty cheaply produced sadly. Especially for the price being charged for them...
Thin Matt cardboard sleeve, thin vinyl, no download code, no picture inner sleeves. Perfunctionary and effortless..

Compare to the Dunkirk vinyl issue this week which is cheaper, and beautiful thick, heavy, glossy card stock for the cover and 180g discs.

Great music though, suppose that’s the main thing..

Somebody messed-up big time, they put the WRONG RECORDING ENTIRELY on the disc. It's the one by Herbert Kegel.

Looks like we need to start sending some emails.

GOD DAMN!!!

another suspect thing is that on The Twin Peaks Archive and on David Slusser's own website Slusser and Lynch are credited for composing "Dear Meadow Shuffle" while there's no mention of Slusser on the new soundtrack. that one is more minor but putting the wrong performance of "Threnody" on there is really wack. damn!

btw, Soundtrack 1 takes place 15 on the Billboard top 200 chart while the second soundtrack places at 45.. that's pretty good!

I suspect it's a rights thing and maybe they couldn't get the version they licensed for the show..

I don't think it's a rights issue because the version on the album is credited as being the Witold Rowicki version

If it's a rights issue they credited the correct rendition and gave us a different one. I'm thinking it was less heinous than that and a genuine muck-up. Last I checked a lot of these Penderecki recordings are in the public domain or super cheap. Movies have been using them for years.
