so does anyone have the "Threnody" version by Witold Rowicki in their CD collection? would be very grateful if anyone would be willing to rip it in as high quality as possible and upload it.. WAV would be the best.

i think it would be worth ripping the CD of the score and replacing that track with the correct version and burning it to a CD-R

Yeah I’d second this request. I’ve had a hunt round to buy a flac/wav copy of the correct version- trouble is as it’s listed incorrectly on the soundtrack the incorrect version is the only one I can find online. Also slightly annoying if you are looking to replace the track on the cd as the start of ‘Slow 30’s Room’ crossfades with the end of the track, so some editing will be required to seemlessly replace...

i'm doing some research trying to find the correct version.

this site has a lot of classical styles of music for download in Mp3 or FLAC at reasonable prices.. there's two versions of "Threnody" performed by the Warsaw National Philharmonic that i can find. from what i understand there are several versions widely circulated, among them one conducted by Witold Rowicki and one conducted by Antoni Wit. i'd be glad to buy a FLAC copy and upload it here if we can locate the right version.

could it be this one?

the time does not match up with the audio posted on the Witold Rowicki page posted earlier however

If you find the right one, please post a link so others may purchase it.

“Slow 30s Room” is the same as track 7 on The Air Is on Fire. Not sure if the edit is identical, but that’s probably a good source to pull a clean version of the portion that overlaps on the OST.

It’s not the same edit at the one off The Air Is On Fire alas, but it’s not too tricky to fix the one off the soundtrack if looking to replace the Threnody track for a ‘correct’ version.

$10 is about as good as you're gonna do new or used. Italians Do it Better is an official distributor of these and they include nice little bonuses with your order.

I have a version of Threnody that I think is the correct one (not 100% sure) via Freegal from my local library - here's the link to the album it is on (2nd track):

So, if you belong to one of the member libraries, you can get it for free as part of your allotted downloads.

Trying to find a higher quality file but you can download the version from a few pages back.
Just right-click the player and "save audio as"... Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima.
