David Lynch's GIO ad and "Inland Empire"

I was just watching some of Lynch's old commercials and got to the "Who is Gio?" ad that he did for Gio Armani. that first location looks VERY similiar to the big hall of the final scene in "Inland Empire". i'm talking about the 'Sinnerman' scene with the dancers and the credits (one of my favorite scenes in the film actally, very powerful). from 6 seconds in...
