'Why is the title of this old Polish film in German?'

And this such an underdiscussed point! My feeling is that the unfinished 47 was a in fact a German film that was simply about Poland.

Makes sense to me.

One maybe clue as to time period: what uniform is the lovely girl wearing, the streetwalker in the snowy Poland scene? Polish, Russian or German? From what decade?
It's always been at the back of my mind,'Why is the title of this old Polish film in German?'

as kiddo said this is a topic nobody has discussed much, i didn't even notice that the title is in German.

i don't see this man to be Piotrek's father. i feel like there's a reference in past lives in the film. that's how i see it.
explains the unpaid bill which is not something you remember.
