Anyone else watching it? I saw some fans of TNG crop up in one of the recent TV show threads.
It's slow and satisfying in my view. Lots of fan service (particularly in this weeks episode), and slightly cheesy in places, but both of these are consistent with the original show.
It's actually not a bad comparison with TP in the sense that it is a 90s show being revived with a much older cast.

Re: Star Trek: Picard
Why, oh why did they drop the ball so hard with episode 7? I thought Picard was fine until then. Episode 8 not much of an improvement.

Re: Star Trek: Picard
Just finished watching this and thought it was very well done. Some fan service here and there, but a big departure in tone from STNG. A lot darker and depressing at times - mortality being a big theme reminded me of TR and its overall mood. Interested to see where they’re going to take it in Season 2. Read a rumor online that John de Lancie might make an appearance. I always loved his and Stewart’s scenes together in the original run.
