The List of Seven / The Six Messiahs
Has anyone read these two novels of Frost's from the 1990s? It's interesting that some of the black magic stuff (aka the left-handed path) ties somewhat into TP. They are also just pretty darned good books. Arthur Conan Doyle makes a fun protagonist (William Hjortsberg's Nevermore and the Houdini/Doyle TV show made use of him as well), and if you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes, you were recognize a lot of references to those stories, hinting that Doyle was inspired by his own adventures. Some of the references are obvious and some are obscure. Either way, I would recommend both of these books!
Re: The List of Seven / The Six Messiahs
I have read approximately one third of the List of Seven, and I intend to read the rest of it, when I have the time. Eventually, I would like to read the Six Messiahs, as well.
So far, I am enjoying The List of Seven. It seamlessly combines the action/adventure with the philosophy/esoteric themes.
Well done to Mr Frost, who is also a talented novelist.
