20th Anniversary Art Exhibition & Product Release

Hello there--

This has been in the works for a while now (better late than never), but on Feb. 12 there will be something interesting happening in Los Angeles. CBS Consumer Products will be putting out a press release late next week, but I wanted you guys to know about it first. There will be art and there will also be official products. Long story short, we're working with David on a project and talked him into approving this whole thing. He's even designed some shirts. These things have been made with love. Hopefully you'll all freak out and like the result. The art that's been coming in is incredible. After the release goes out, I'll post some images here.

We were trying to get this together for last month (to come in under the wire for the literal 20th anniversary year of the pilot/first season), but it would have stunk and been a rush job.

Visit http://www.twinpeaks20.com for more info.

This sounds amazing!! Really looking forward to hearing more. So will this be a show/sale of TP-inspired art, essentially?

I'm trying to persuade my partner that we need to go to this exhibition - without success so far but I remain hopeful.

I'm thrilled David Lynch has contributed to a Twin Peaks event and ecstatic to hear he's working on a project with CBS.

Thanks for your all of your interest-- it's much appreciated. Just to clarify, David isn't working on a project with CBS (or at least not to my knowledge). CBS/Paramount owns the rights to "Twin Peaks" now, and CBS Consumer Products controls the licensing (that's why I mentioned CBS originally). If we did this, we wanted it to be official (and David wanted us to involve them as well).

Yes, the exhibition will be a small, handpicked group of contemporary artists taking on the world of "Twin Peaks." The product line treats "Twin Peaks" like a real town and features items which could have come from there. I wish I could say more, but I have to wait for the official press release. More info later this week-- you guys will be the first to hear/see anything. Thanks for your patience.

2 quick things-- David's map is not entirely "new," but it looks amazing. We were originally going to make a print of the charcoal drawing many of you have seen already. And then David decided to take that and add something new to it. Anyway, it looks really great and I think you'll be into it.

Second, on the products list, it may appear that we left off the Packard Sawmill, but we didn't...

Oh, and the Great Northern stationary has been approved by Benjamin Horne.

Any add'l info on this yet? There was a plug in today's L.A. Times, but it recapped what's already been revealed. I'm curious if there will be any Lynch/Zabriskie/Beymer appearances, if it'd be better to go Sat or Sun, how much money I need to bring to buy swag, etc. Thanks in advance.
