Random dumb thought about the use of "Take Five" in part 4:

Take One: Lodge Coop
Take Two: Evil Coop
Take Three: Dougie Jones
Take Four: Rain Man Coop
Take Five: Restored Coop?

We're in some sort of manufactured world. The real world would have Angelo Badalamenti music. In this manufactured world, we have to settle for Dave Brubeck. And, oh man, I loved it!

Episode 16 — BadCoop and GoodCoop meet up. They wrestle and Lynch has chosen to use a 'Star Trek'-style body double rather than SFX. The double is a good foot shorter than MacLachalan and thirty pounds heavier. "That's so Lynch-ian" cry the three people still watching!

Ray - said 4 times by DoppelCoop at the restaurant...do you use a person's name when talking to them while your sitting at the same table...??
The evolution of the arm says BOB-3 times
The name Bill has appeared 3 times- I saw that somewhere on the dugpa forum
I'm prerty sure DoppelCoop says Gordon's name quite a few times when having that conversation with him at the prison

This just Lynch's and Frost's writing? Or is there something behind this?

It's the only place on the horn of the phonograph that has scratches, and the lighting makes it seems like it's deliberate!

I don't know how significant it is, but I just noticed another example. In the scene where Cooper re-appears from the electrical outlet, Jade calls him "Dougie" 6 times in less than 40 seconds.

I don't know how significant it is, but I just noticed another example. In the scene where Cooper re-appears from the electrical outlet, Jade calls him "Dougie" 6 times in less than 40 seconds.

I think to some extent, this stuff is just a writers' trick to drill important character names into the audience's brains -- an important concern in a work introducing a lot of new faces and names. I noticed DoppelCoop saying "Ray and Darya" an awkward number of times during their intro scene in Part 1 (even though Darya, at least, ended up not being very important!).
