Here's what I've come up with. The light red squares are stuff I'm unsure of that may occur earlier or later. The dark red square is the only outright conflict I can find so far.

Interesting! I'd argue, however, that the show is not nearly as non-linear as you've outlined here. I think 9/22 being a small production error on COOPER's arrest report (which also includes an obvious error in the field for his birthdate) is far more likely than the timeline you have here.

I'd argue that the timeline in this thread is much closer to correct and that most of what we've seen has taken place all at basically the same time in basically the order in which we've seen it.

The only really ambiguous/confusing plotline is the hit-and-run, but it all could very well be happening at the same time as everything else and Andy simply has the date on his watch set incorrectly. Nothing specifically contradicts this reading except that watch and maybe the fact that Lucy's sweater in the chair shopping scene in Part 9 matches the sweater she's wearing when Chad intercepts the mail in Part 10, but not the sweater she's wearing when Hawk, Bobby, and Frank walk past her in Part 9--which is interesting, but pretty slim evidence.

I wouldn't be even slightly surprised if the whole thing, slight fudges here and there aside (especially in Part 10), ends up being totally linear.

I tried a theory: everything happens in Twin Peaks after The Good Dale comes back to earth in Dougie's life (so the 26/9). Then Margaret calls Hawk and says "something is missing about agent Dale Cooper". It fits with the date of the 29/9.

Well, it's just an attempt, maybe things are more linear and everything happens at the same time (in Buckhorn, Las Vegas and Twin Peaks).

But one thing is sure: the storylines of the 2 Coopers (Mister C. and Dougie-Dale) are more linear and easy to follow. The Twin Peaks scenes are clearly more like "visions" or flashs for the moment, with less clues to connect things between them (the hit-and-run of course, but also the Ben & Beverly scenes, Jerry in the woods...). Maybe the orders of the Twin Peaks scene will become more clear when Cooper comes back to the town (if it happens).

I admit the gaps in the FBI thread are there to try and account for the overall length of the period of time we're supposedly talking about, to try and align it with other things that appear to be more fixed. I figured it might take more time for them to fly from Philadelphia to South Dakota. I will re-examine the timeline in this thread and adjust based on that but I am confident and have been pretty confident that there are some interesting time games being played here.

In the US if they give you an extended forecast it typically consist of the next 5-7 days.

Okay, we have another one that does some jumping around. For now (since there's still no real evidence of any storylines taking place at a different time), I think we're looking at a continuation of Days 9-10 here (based on the Timeline above in this thread).

Some things to note:

- Becky's clothes match what she was wearing in the Steven/Becky scene in Part 10. My conclusion: that scene and all the scenes with Becky in Part 11 all take place on the same day. Probably Day 10.

- In the Hawk/Frank scene, Hawk mentions the date on the map being "the day after tomorrow" which would place this scene back on Day 9. Maybe we can read this call from Margaret as happening on Day 9 and the call featured in Part 10 happening on Day 10. It actually does makes sense that the call in Part 11 would be the first time Hawk and Margaret have spoken since Hawk found the pages from Laura's diary.

- I suppose it's possible that Miriam was crawling through the woods for a full day and overnight, but it seems more likely that the scene with Miriam in Part 11 takes place on the same day that she was attacked by Richard (either Day 9 or 10--pretty much impossible to tell given what we've seen so far, though the whole business with Lucy's sweater would make the most sense if all the Richard business happened on Day 10).

Basically, it seems that Parts 9-11 covered Days 9-10, but mixed up the orders of scenes quite freely to create sequences of scenes that played off of each other thematically. This isn't a super strange approach, but it is interesting to note that this basically never happened in TPTR until Part 9. Part 1 through the beginning of Part 8 (before the bomb) all seemed to take place roughly in linear order (except for one obvious bit at the beginning of Part 5), but Parts 9-11 tell the larger story using a much freer approach. It'll be interesting to see whether the events of Days 9-10 just leant themselves to being broken up in a less linear fashion and things will return to the former approach with Day 11, or whether the second half of TPTR in general will be less linear.

I suppose, as some argue, that it's also possible that the piece has been non-linear from the start (with multiple timelines), but that it is only now becoming more obvious. I suppose we shall see!

I'm sorry, not sure I understand... Imagine it's Thursday evening at 19:00. Extended forecast would show Friday to Thursday, or Thursday to Wednesday? First day is also show without minimum atmo pressure! Would it be more real with moon images, not sun images?

Since Parts 9-11 presented events far less chronologically than any other section of TPTR (so far), I think it might be worthwhile to try and list the scenes in chronological order.

Here is my attempt to create a roughly chronological timeline of Days 9-10 (my goal is to place events on the correct days, and also take time of day into account when there are indications--obviously, there is some just plain guessing, but I think this is close):

Not necessarily. I'd totally buy the furniture line happening the night before Andy and Lucy have their battle of wits over the color of their new chair. Lucy brings up the idea on the night of the 29th, even though she isn't sure why since they're never home, and then the next morning they actually buy the chair.

Since Hawk says that the date on Major Briggs's clue is "the day after tomorrow," that scene has to take place on the 29th.

(and that day must be the 30th, because she has different clothes that on the 29th!).

Exactly. She's wearing the same sweater for the chair-shopping scene as she is when Chad intercepts the letter. That's why I placed both those scenes on the 30th. The scene at lunch time, with Bobby, Hawk, and Frank, has to happen on the 29th.

I can see this being an issue. Possibly he initially thought Chad had taken care of things (since it seems obvious that Chad must have been the one to question Miriam), and after a day of worrying over it--not really trusting Chad--he decided he couldn't let the loose end stand. I can buy that. Richard isn't exactly the most methodical guy, and he's prone to both over-confidence and panic.

It's also possible that the attack on Miriam, and the boys finding her crawling out of the woods, took place on the 29th but Chad intercepted the letter the next day.

What a puzzle!

The only scene from the Richard plotline that doesn't fit on the 29th is when Chad intercepts the letter, because of Lucy's sweater. We also know that the attack on Sylvia happens after Chad texts him, so that also can't happen on the 29th. So, the 30th makes the most sense for all of it, at least with the information we have, even though it does mean Richard waited to confront Miriam.
