Why is there no thread about the sweeping scene in the Roadhouse?
Given the network of meanings around brooms, the besom as pudendum symbol used by sex workers of the ancient world, the space-sweeping rituals in many cultures, and the appearance of vacuum cleaners both in the Return and other Lynch films (esp. wrt WaH's Marietta-Wicked Witch Oz theme) I have to say I am a little surprised.
