[Anag] The Giants Intro (Spoilers?)

Post by KnewItsPa »

Been playing with the Giants speech in Episode 1 as potential anagrammed. Not really interested in a debate about whether lynch/frost intentionally hide anagrammed information in the script, or whether it's just post-hoc rationalisation, but would be fascinated by alternative 'solutions' and their application.

Code: Select all

Agent Cooper. Listen to the sounds.
It is in our house now.
It all cannot be said aloud now.
Remember Four Three Zero.
Richard and Linda.
Two birds with one stone.
Anagram:

Code: Select all

Go south sentience not portaled
This is woe, our union is.
Dale soul want in bad location.
Freeze her rumour, bet more
And darn air child
Now both store twins die
By no means 100% fixed on this formulation, I would be looking for something more literal really, and some lines don't scan properly, but the direction seems right. Besides, the Giant isn't giving us a ring when we know these things to be true this time. So now for the fun part. speculating what it might, or might not mean...

Code: Select all

Go south sentience not portaled
Coop does indeed go south and seems to lose sentience in that process.

Code: Select all

This is woe, our union is.
Giant is sad about Dale being stuck in the lodge, sad about him losing his mind as Dougie. Sad about the connection between two worlds.

Code: Select all

Dale soul want in bad location

Code: Select all

And darn air child
No idea. probably wrong. "air child" could be golden-globe Laura, or Dougies son, or Heck even Bob the Experiments son. It most likely has something to do with Richard and Linda that we haven't seen yet.

Code: Select all

Freeze her rumour, bet more
Bet more - especially when tied into the number puzzle (?) seems to point to Dougies casino jaunt. Freeze her rumor? Not. a . clue.

Code: Select all

Now both store twins die
This is "Two birds with one stone = Now both store twins die." Store is the whole convenience store thing, and maybe a reference to both Mr. C. and Dougie being of that place (constructed / derived). I think the Giant is telling Coop that both Dougie and Mr. C. are both going to die if he leaves the lodge.

After the giant tells Cooper that, he responds "I understand" in a somewhat grave manner. I don't think we're in for a happy ending.
"Crack the code, solve the crime."
