Yup. I can see a divorce between Ben Horne and Sylvia Horne occurring within the past 25 years. Also we must keep in mind that Ben Horne fathered Donna. Although there is no mention of Donna's whereabouts, 'THE RETURN' does include Donna's love interest James Hurley. Whether Donna's name is ever mentioned again or not, James Hurley has an important Twin Peaks past. I'm sure we will see James again in future episodes.

Perhaps. In all fairness, 25 years has passed in the world of Twin Peaks. I'm sure a few 'Invitation to Love' moments have occurred in that time frame.
