Mister C and JUDY (Spoilers)

Postby claaa7 » Thu Oct 05, 2017 2:48 am

Hawk's map appeared in episode 11 and the most intriguing part of it (at least on the surface level as it is supported by a dialouge exchange) is the representation of the Blue Pine and White Tail mountains (our beloved Twin Peaks) with the half moon crescent above it and the omnious black figure on top of that. that black figure is something Hawk doesn't even want to mention aloud which points to it being an extremely powerful negative energy.. reading about demonic possessions and the spirit world there are certain names that carry a lot of power and should never be uttered aloud as it could focus its attention on you ("it all can not be said aloud now"). the symbol also appears on Mister C's card, revealing to us that his ultimate goal is to find the thing the playing card represents.. and that image looks a lot like what The Experiment in NYC looks like. i'm thinking this is JUDY.

we learn that shortly before Cooper being trapped within the Lodge he and Gordon Cole had learned about JUDY through Major Briggs who together with them devised a plan to find JUDY and destroy it. being that "Mister C" is the negative shadow-self of Dale Cooper and seems to carry with him the memories of Coop (as shown in ep. 15 when speaking to Jeffries) he would know that the ultimate goal of the plan hatched by the trio is to find JUDY. many times through the series the doppelganger is implied to want for the same goal as his other half, but with different and much darker motivations. this we can see for example with his lust for Audrey Horne, but complete disregard for her as a person. in light of that i can see why he would be so focused on finding JUDY and using it for his own dark purposes. he asks about Major Briggs many times throughout the show, most likely as he knows Briggs can lead him directly to JUDY.

on top of that when Mister C finally has aquired the correct coordinates he is sent to the Giant's lair (The Theatre of the Absurd) which is filled with the same type of machinery Philip Jeffries uses to communicate as well as representations of Major Briggs and The Giant. on the screen we see The Palmer house, implying that what he is ultimately seeking is to be found in there which then indicates that the thing posessing Sarah Palmer. it's of course a trap for Mister C as he is easily caged and instead transported to the Sherrif's station. none of this is really explicitly said aloud now but it makes for a really intriguing narrative and the way it is hidden makes it exceptional writing in my book. Lynch once described Lost Highway as a murder mystery with all of the clues deleted so he enjoys this type of thing and the same type of thing is all over The Secret History of Twin Peaks.

something i find intriguing is whether or not The Giant and JUDY are two polar opposites - both being in many ways godlike figures, one negative having dominion over The Black Lodge and the other having dominion over The White Lodge. both are also shown to be creators - The Giant creating the orb holding Laura Palmer and impregnating the world with her golden spirit; Judy creating BOB and dozens of more similiar "eggs". if this is the case and Cooper and Major Briggs working with The Fireman, the union of Mister C and JUDY would possible something similiar but opposite.

In The Secret History of Twin Peaks there are mentions of different type of Alien races - including The Nordic types and the "Grays".. from what i take from TSHoTP these sightings and unexplained phenomena does not pertain to usual UFO / Alien lore of the X-Files variety, but rather unexplained phenomena pertaining to the already established but mysterious Twin Peaks mythology (lodges, zones, portals, etc.)

the Nordic types as they are described share some characteristics with The Fireman, The Giant (one and the same?) and Seniorita Dido. as Jack Parson says in the book when describing these "Messengers of the Gods" that can be called forth by occult rituals in places like White Sands - "the Tall ones, the Nordic types, they're different. More benign. Some say they've always been here..."

later on in a section on the Creation of Project Blue Book Dougie Milford describes an alleged meeting between someone from the military and these other species:

"One source says Ike rejected 'offer' - These 'Nordic types' apparently made their offer contingent on U.S. giving up Nukes. Second meeting - time and location unspecified - followed with Grays who made no such demands and offered their Tech in Exchange for 'genetic material' "

of course if the Nordic types as described most closely resembles The Fireman then the Grays most closely resembles Judy/The Experiment. this also fits in with the Fireman wanting to make sure the U.S. giving up Nukes while JUDY certainly wouldn't have a request for that. could the thoughts about human "genetic material" have something to do with the Creation of Tulpas?

TSHoTP certainly takes on some new interesting meanings in light of having seen the new season..

This is what is so deliciously awesome and confounding about this season at the same time.

Never are we told that the Experiment Model=Mother=the figure on the playing deck=Sarah Palmer=Judy. All these are inferences we draw after giving the matter some thought. It is such a different type of storytelling and I see why it is frustrating to some, but it definitely makes you think and makes the rewatches more interesting than they would be in a film where everything is spoonfed to the viewer.
