Re: Funniest moment in the series
One scene that cracks me up is Bobby and Shelly freaking out when Leo "comes back to life" and says "new shoes". Sad to say, but one of Eric DaRe's finest moments on the show!
Re: Funniest moment in the series
Not pure comedy, but I love the scene where Gordon discovers he can hear Shelley and Cooper tells the penguin joke. The music running under it is perfect. A scene so perfect in terms of comedy and romance that I watched it over and over on my old Betamax!!

I always thought of Dick as being one of the main indicators of the "lesser" episodes... But I have to admit that upon this latest rewatch, I am finding everything he does hilarious.

Sherriff Truman barely getting down the donut he stuffed in his mouth...Andy getting hit by the rock and the deck board...can't recall the circumstance but a scene where Pete Martell, wearing this long coat, does this cock-of-the-walk strut...Dr. Lydecker's office and Cooper and the llama...

The placement of that llama snort was rythmically wonderful. Propels the scene the way a great drum fill on a jazz record can punctuate and bring out the beauty of what happened before and after.

Re: Funniest moment in the series
I was just thinking about some moments on TP that I'd found vastly amusing in addition to stuff I'd already mentioned in this thread.
Toad. Both incidences with him in the double R diner were just hysterical. Norma yelling 'TOAD!!!!' when he was caught in the kitchen sampling food...licking a ladle was just funny beyond belief! Wonder who the actor who'd played his character was?
Oh yeah, and when Coop tweaked Harry's nose.

Anything with Albert... can't remember them all but the bit where Big Ed recounts what happened to Nadine and her eye was pretty good.
Re: Funniest moment in the series
The Gordon Cole meets Shelly scene! And the scene where they Kiss and Bobby comes in
Also' the smoked pig scene and everything with mayor Milford!

Re: Funniest moment in the series
Lots of great moments in the series, but I want to bring up something from FWWM: the way the secretary and Deputy Cliff in the Deer Meadow Sheriff Department crack up at every obstruction of justice.
Especially "we've got a phone in here, that's got a little ring"
EDIT: Also want to mention this gem from the pilot:
Cooper: Would you leave us please?
Morgue Attendant: Jim.
Cooper: Uh.. would you leave us alone please?

From the deleted scenes: The giggling at the end of this scene was extraordinary; it's hard not to laugh too.
Re: Funniest moment in the series
The framed clown picture in Leo's house always tickles me in a "WTF" kind of a way....
Re: Funniest moment in the series
Shelly's reenactment of Laura's funeral with a napkin holder, hands down.
Second place tie between Albert's reaction to Big Ed saying "Well, and then I shot her eye out" and Bobby Briggs' "Afraid? Afraid? I'm going to turn it upside down!"
