As she often says she's disillusioned with acting, and as many of her projects went unrealized, and with the lawsuit against her, I was afraid she might decide to quit acting.
However, she's back at work. Here are her latest projects :
a guest appearance on House M.D. episode 5x11 "Joy To The World", aired December 9th. However, she made a very brief appearance on that episode (I still don't get it, how could she possibly be that much underused!! Are producers blind or what?)
More interesting, a black comedy called The Scenesters, shot in July 2008.
The film was made by "The Vacationeers", a comedic film group that features Todd Berger, Kevin Brennan, Jeff Grace, and Blaise Miller.
The shooting started July 14th in Los Angeles.
The film follows a would-be filmmaker moonlighting as a crime scene videographer. When murder scenes show the pattern of a serial killer, the filmmaker's producing partner enlists the case detectives in a scheme to make a movie of the ongoing case. Everyone winds up in court, where Sherilyn Fenn plays an district attorney sorting through everyone's stories.

I asked about Fenn on the Facebook page for The Scenesters and producer Kevin Brennan answered :The Story
The Scenesters is an innovative and quirky murder mystery that both honors and deconstructs the conventions of the classic "who-done-it?" film noir. A dark comedy that uses the "found footage" approach to storytelling, the film will compile supposed "real" clips from a variety of sources - courtroom transcripts, crime scene videography, news reports, etc - all detailing how a group of Los Angeles twentysomethings got mixed up in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with a prolific serial killer.
The Project
The Scenesters, a deliberately low-budget (sub 200K) "found footage" film designed to maximize investor profit (same budget as Swingers). One prominent L.A. Casting Director called the script, "Pulp Fiction meets Scream, shot with the realism of Blair Witch." The movie will feature the comedy group The Vacationeers and other yet-to-be famous talents to preserve the "reality" aspect of the film's marketing.
She plays A.D.A. Barbara Dietrichson. Her agent submitted her for the project. We met with her and fell in love. She is an amazing actress and was a complete pro.
