Re: MacLachlan Plans Twin Peaks Comeback
i always had hoped/wished david filmed more stuff after FWWM and stashed it away to conclude the show, then one day he'll drop it on us. i can wish right?? and, i wonder if mark frost would have any interest if this has any shred of truth to it...

Re: MacLachlan Plans Twin Peaks Comeback
Another interesting thing they could do is use some of the deleted scenes from FWWM such as the scene of Annie in the hospital. This would help bridge the gap between the final episode and whatever time frame they may jump to (25 years later...)

This isn't the first time contactmusic.com has mention that Kyle is making a comeback to TP. Check out this article back from 11/25/2005 with Mark Frost.

Re: MacLachlan Plans Twin Peaks Comeback
i saw that the new york press also picked this up. kyle needs to either confirm or deny all this through his people....
Re: MacLachlan Plans Twin Peaks Comeback
Agreed. Kyle needs to say one way or another.
I pray that there's some truth in this. Quite possibly this represents our last chance at getting a continuation of Twin Peaks.

Re: MacLachlan Plans Twin Peaks Comeback
I just said that I was on this website which has thousands of twin peaks fans and that we have heard a lot of rumours regarding him doing a twin peaks return and that we were all waiting for more news and if he could say whether it was true or not.
But I haven't heard anything so far so who knows?

Re: MacLachlan Plans Twin Peaks Comeback
Will never happen.
First off, it's clear Lynch has some sort of definite say in any Twin Peaks continuation, look at the proposed season three graphic novel for the Gold Set for instance. Unless he gets a great creative spurt sometime soon, there's nothing over the last decade that's suggested Lynch isn't happy doing stuff other then Twin Peaks. (Not to say he doesn't seem to regret the way it ended, but arguably, that might have killed his enthusiasm to do more).
And talk about MacLachlan biting the hand that feeds him! He clearly had to be begged to come back for FWWM, and that clearly put a dampner on Lynch ever wanting to work with him again - though they seem to be chummy enough on the Gold Set special features. (And wasn't he rumoured for a INLAND EMPIRE appearance)? I'm sure this sort of interest from MacLachlan way back when in the 3 - 5 years after FWWM would have definitely kicked off interest in another project, FWWM sequel, TV movie, etc.!
I love Kyle, but I think this is just random musing on the part of an actor on the potential success that may await returning to his most famous role.

At the end of that interview he mentions that he hopes to work with Lynch again at some point, so it sounds like he's interested in some form of collaboration with Lynch again, to what extent I have no idea. But it would be cool to see Twin Peaks make a comeback in some form.
