In BV ,both Hopper and Stockwell say the line "now its dark"
Julie Cruise features in the soundtrack.
In TP she also does the music.
The first line of Into The Night is a whispered "now its dark"
Also spot Mrs Tremond/Chalfont as Aunt Barbara!

Re: TP - Blue velvet crossover
my favorite of course is the Jeffrey hiding in the closet as a voyeur to a grown-up world, and Audrey spying in her secret passageway and more importantly the closet in Battis' office. There's something so evocative about this use of imagary. They become extensions of us the viewer. And youth getting broken snippets into adult life.
Of course, Twin Peaks essentially explores what Blue Velvet set-up- what lies underneath when you scratch the surface. There's a darkness and a lightness, and a duality anywhere you go- and is especially true in Everytown, USA.
*in the detail department, Isabella Rosselinni was supposed to play Josie Packard.

God, I love this music. Isn't it too dreamy?
