New Interviews with Julee Cruise, Harley Peyton, and more!

Post by Brad D »

Had the pleasure of talking to Julee last week, and had a hell of a lot of fun doing it. She says she's indeed planning on working with David very very soon. Hope you guys enjoy... let me know what you think!

Looking forward to the Kinny interview as well!!

thank you Ross, and yes - she is a character. had to be the most memorable phone call of my life. wish i could have included the entire unedited conversation - a considerable amount i just could not include. she said she's performing in NYC near the end of the month if any of you guys can make it.

sorry for the delay on Kinny's piece. he is off on a new project and i might just post what i have for now and add the rest later. i really had trouble translating it to the page but it'll work much better as a podcast, i think.

Brilliant interview, Brad.

Bob Engels is one of my heroes, by virtue of co-writing FWWM. He's also one of the most interesting Twin Peaks interviewees, IMHO.

His suggestion that the deleted scenes might be gone is unnerving. And the idea that Mike and BOB were aliens makes me glad they cancelled the series before it became a joke. I much prefer the idea of them being elemental woodland spirits!

The idea of Laura Palmer being bumped off by aliens is just hideous.

after talking with the 3 guys who are credited as writing most of the scripts on this series, there is a world of difference in some of the things they say...but, this is 20 years removed and God knows they dont pour over this stuff like we do.

i think the whole Mike/BOB being from another planet was kicked around by David and Bob, but remember Frost had nothing to do with FWWM. A Twin Peaks universe of David and Mark is a much different thing than with just DL, IMHO.

Hey Brad- you are doing some incredible stuff. I loved the Kenneth, Bob, and Annette interviews!!! Fantastic that they all have good memories of the show. I know the post-Laura episodes get a lot flak, but Kenneth was great. His "Hobgoblins" and "Lodges" speeches are two of the best written and performed dialogues on the show.

Did you ever get to talk to Kinny again?
