Deleted scene between Audrey and Nancy at One-Eyed Jack's where she learns about the mill fire:


7: INT. ONE-EYED JACK'S - DAY

The Get Acquainted Room. Early morning ease pervades. Girls lounge in robes, smoke cigarettes. Two blondes play checkers in a corner. A third girl, NANCY, the Pickup seen previously in Audrey's room, sits and reads the morning paper.

AUDREY HORNE passes through the morning, looking for clues. She sits next to Nancy.

AUDREY
Morning.

NANCY
You say that as if it's news.

Audrey lights up, ignores the rebuff, gestures toward the newspaper.

AUDREY
Well, what is news?

NANCY
Cookout at the Packard Mill.

Audrey peers at the banner headline: MILL BURNS. She reacts with unbridled delight.

AUDREY
Wow.

NANCY
Arson maybe.

AUDREY
(knowing)
I'll bet. Nancy, do me a favor?
(off girl's look)
I'm lookin' for somebody.

Audrey produces a photograph torn from a high school yearbook. Ronette Pulaski.

AUDREY
We worked Spokane together. Shriners and stuff.

NANCY
Ronette.

AUDREY
(alert)
You know her?

NANCY
Sorta. Just a summer girl. She didn't stay long.

AUDREY
(digging deeper)
Ronette had a friend. Laura. Ever see them together?

Suddenly: a male voice. It's EMORY BATTIS. Battis enters the Get-Acquainted Room, pauses to greet familiar faces.

Audrey tamps out her cigarette, looks for exit.

AUDREY
Got to go. Maybe we can talk sometime.

With that, Audrey, rises, steps away. Nancy looks up from her paper, watches her leave. There's a cold look in her eyes.

READING GIRL
Anything you say, 'Miss Horne.'

Busted. Nancy turns her gaze toward Battis by the door.

I wonder if these were filmed.

Maybe someone with access to Sherilyn could ask her.

I think I asked her about it a long time ago and was told it was never filmed.

The weird thing is Gayln Gorg was listed in the credits I believe for the first two second season episodes but doesn't appear until the third.

I think Gorg also confirmed in a TP Archive interview that all the scenes she shot were shown.

Too bad -it's a great scene with potential down the line. Audrey knowing about the mill was too good to be dropped.

I have to wonder if the "Nancy" who was chatting with Audrey in these deleted scenes is a totally different character than the Nancy they introduced in Episode 10 who was Blackie's sister/Jean Renault's mistress.

Maybe since they didn't shoot the scenes with Nancy the "Pick-Up Girl," the writers just decided to use the name Nancy for Blackie's sister they were introducing later.

Because it wouldn't make much sense that Blackie's sister is hanging around One Eyed Jack's in episodes 8 and 9, chatting it up with Audrey. It seems like when she arrives with Jean in episode 10, it's an unpleasant surprise to Blackie.

But wait, you're right... Galyn Gorg was in the credits to episode 8 and 9 so it probably was intended to be the same person.

OK but another interesting tidbit... in the Twin Peaks Archive interview with Connie Woods ("The New Girl" at One-Eyed Jacks), SHE says she filmed some scenes (several months after filming episode 2) where she's Audrey "sidekick" but those scenes got cut.

Over the course of a few months I was called back to be in several different scenes with Sherilyn Fenn (she was so kind, it was wonderful to work with her - and more beautiful in person than on screen if you can believe it!). I had a good rapport with Mr. Lynch, Sherilyn, and the others on set. There was the scene when they introduced me as The New Girl... I also shot some interior scenes later at a studio in Los Angeles with Sherilyn Fenn. I was in my costume again and we were supposed to be in a different part of One-Eyed Jacks when her character was looking for answers, snooping I guess you would say. I was her sidekick.

She's also seen in episode 10 videotaping the drugged-out Audrey as Blackie and Battis tease her.

I wonder if Sherilyn's memory was wrong and these scenes did get filmed with Connie Woods?

I got the feeling she was talking about the scene where she escorts Audrey in for the cherry scene. Later on, yes, she was in the scene with Audrey tied up as they videotaped her. I think there was talk early on about developing a relationship of them snooping together because they were both new at One Eyed Jacks, but it never developed in the scripts. I don't think there are any scripted scenes like that, so it's doubtful any were filmed. She didn't even remember holding a video camera, I had to show her a screengrab.

Brad interviewed her as well. Maybe he knows more.

This one is scripted in Episode 5 but it's not really a full scene. Just a short partial scene that may have been edited out of the Icelander banquet scene:

JOSIE PACKARD enters the room, looks around, a little lonely and out of place. She moves
to Pete, who's piling up a massive plate of food at the buffet.

JOSIE
Hello, Pete.

There's a deleted scene of a flashback of James and Laura talking by the lake, we can see their reflections on the water. I saw that and some other deleted scenes at a special screening in the 2001 TP Fan Festival.
Does anyone know why that scene was omitted from the Gold Box?
There was also a scene of Norma and Shelly talking about men when Norma picks Shelly up at her home. That was also not on the Gold Box. Any particular reason?

Are you sure it was by a lake? I thought it was near a well.

Frost and Lynch, for whatever reason, decided for it not to be included. Same as the Invitation To Love footage etc.
