I'd watched an old show, circa 60's, Hazel, wherein a character wore a hearing aid which had a wire attached to a small box worn in shirt pocket. Reminded me immediately of the character David lynch( can't summon up the character's name) who'd worn a similar device. Seeing as how TP was kinda informed by the 50's, perhaps that's why the character would wear such an old tech device...

Snog, if you look around on this board, I think I post the exact details of the hearing aid device that david wore. The title has the word constellation in it. I believe they were quite popular for the time.
