What's going on with http://www.intwinpeaks.com/?

I'm always having a hard time accessing this site.
Sometimes it opens, sometimes it doesn't.
It has the best filming location pics and screencaps to every single episode, I love it.
Sorry, I don't know who the webmaster is or I'd send this in private.
Anyone knows?

Charles has been absent for a wee while. Whilst i haven't posted here much recently, i always make a point of lurking and seeing how things are going, and i haven't seen updates from him in a long time.

I think a few people here are friends with him outside the TP sites, facebook, etc so they may have more information than me at least! :) I'm also a big fan of him and his site so i sure hope he's ok.

I had some issues with the site for sometime, but then I realized that it was in how I was typing the URL.

At the time, if I typed just intwinpeaks.com, the browser would try going to http://intwinpeaks.com/ and I've get an error. However if I types www.intwinpeaks.com, the browser would go to http://www.intwinpeaks.com/ and it would work. So basically, at the time he had it set so you HAD to type WWW. That has since been fixed, I'm not sure when, it could have been recently.

Made that was the problem you were having?

I'm reviving this old thread because intwinpeaks.com is gone again and has been for quite a while.

Does anyone know what happened of how to contact Charles? This was one of my favorite websites of all time.

Thanks,

"J"

Update: The site is down permanently, which is a real shame.

For those jonesing for a TP location guide fix, this blog is a worthy successor: https://www.twinpeaksblog.com/2018/03/1 ... locations/

The guy who runs it was immensely inspired by InTwinPeaks, often citing to their work while building on it, and frequently posting screenshots of their old pages about various locations. There’s some wonderful insight, and his enthusiasm about minutiae is contagious. It’s a highly addictive resource.

I was just reading his entry about Jack Rabbit’s Palace: https://www.twinpeaksblog.com/2019/10/0 ... -showtime/

He mentions the fascinating piece of trivia that Odessa has the world’s largest jackrabbit statue. It’s also alarming to see how quickly the Jack Rabbit’s Palace treestump has already been worn away, whether by nature or human interference or both.

Hmmm... makes me wonder whether that spot where Garland took Coop fishing is anywhere near Jackrabbit's, either fictitious or in reality.

Maybe fictitious, but in reality Jack Rabbit’s is in Washington and the night-fishing site is in California (probably in Franklin Canyon Park, although I don’t believe the blog has an entry on that location yet).

Ah.. so most 90's TP forest locations were filmed in California then?

That would indeed explain the different vibes the flora gave me between TP and TPTR.

And yeah, in my book those locations are both at the foot of Blue Pine Mountain, the seat of the white lodge 8)

Yeah, the only things shot in WA in the 1990s were the Pilot and FWWM, and random establishing shots for the other episodes. All the main unit stuff on Episodes 1-29 is California.

One thing I sometimes wonder about is who decided on the “warm” color timing of Episodes 1-29. It’s so different from the cold-grey-rainy palette of the Pilot, and while it gives the show a wonderful comforting vibe that is absolutely part of the appeal, it really works against the illusion that we’re in Washington.
