My guess is that they decided to drop the character for The Return, and playing the 'How's Annie?' just builds expectations that she will be in the new show, so they are editing that part out.
They definitely seem to be retconning her out of existence... Hmm.
Totally retconning her out would be super lame.
I totally agree. I understand people who are not fans of the character (personally, I'm somewhere in the middle), but all signs so far point out to excluding Annie on purpose. So, there must be a narrative reason for that, right? Right??

The omissions are not what they seem.

Goosebumps. What a fantastic trailer. But please folks, don't read to much into the trailer. Just enjoy the atmosphere.

I keep my fingers crossed for a very dark season.

That's what I'm guessing. I expect to see both Harry and Annie at some point.

I do have my faith ''How's Annie?'' will be resolved..

Unbelievably cool trailer!! I like those haunting dark synthesizer sounds at the end

Oooh, are FWWM haters gonna be pissed at how prominently the movie is featured in this trailer??
FWWM haters have had plenty of time since Lynch's surprise appearance at the TCA event to brace for impact. If they haven't come to terms with it by now, they may never.

Meanwhile, doesn't that trailer just beat all? Just a tidbit of b-roll of the trees, as a cherry on top of a well edited recap. Almost as good as their FWWM promo. Almost. -Mordeen

I feel like it's a good idea to pay close attention to how they reference Bob in that trailer. He's showcased almost as prominently as Coop. And Leland.

The Twin peaks twitter calls this video a recap. Funny how they left Annie.

Could be a hint. But if you view it as a recap, they just had the most important parts in the story.

The Jumping Man is a notable inclusion given his brief screen time so far. But then, I would say that...

Very notable, considering no Little Mike in The Return.

It's been pretty clear for awhile that they're collectively misleading everybody about certain things. All for the mystery~

1. loved the recap, hated the trite "PREPARE TO RETURN" trailer rhetoric with ~epic music, eeeeeeeeeeh super bland

2. Annie's absence is, of course, perfectly in line with TSHOTP...

3. Harry everywhere

4. AND DONNA

5. ...and Ronette! Hi Ronette! (sorry. I do love Ronette)

6. and the Jumping Man but no ring nor other FWWM oddities

And yeah, interesting choices for both BOB, MIKE and the rest of the mythology. Gotta admit I laughed at Hawk's doppelgangers mention, knowing how the original finale draft didn't even use that bit of lore. Totally intended to be relevant enough to be included in a 2 minutes summary, you guys!
