what is the appropriate term?

Postby SandWorm19 » Wed Aug 26, 2015 2:17 am

So what is the accepted terminology for fans of Twin Peaks? I have seen it written as "Peakies" "Peakers" and even "TPers" ...is there an official or commonly accepted term?

I'm actually not entirely sure. I have seen "Peakies" thrown around more often than any other term though, even back in the newsgroup days.

In the US, Peakers is fairly common. In Europe, however, they insist on Peakies. (which bothers me for no discernible reason, LOL)

Alan Thicke set us all straight before the second season when he hosted the Peaks/Cop Rock Behind the Scenes special.... "Now I never was a Trekie, but I must confess I am a Peaker."

I just call us nerds.

Cool nerds.
God, I love this music. Isn't it too dreamy?

Peak Freak! I love it!... I am partial to Peaker over Peakie myself. I just didn't know if there was an "official" term. I got to meet Piper Laurie a few weeks back, and talked to her several times over the weekend, and asked her the same thing. She was like me, and said she had heard several but didn't know if one was more accepted than another. She seemed to be a very sweet lady.
