Numbers in FWWM

Post by mark79 »

Is there any connection between the numbers in FWWM? I mean two numbers "7" situated in different locations and number "6" on the electrical post?

You should ask a Woodsman.

Is a number 7 next to the lift Jeffries exits, or elsewhere? I know that Lynch regards a '6' as bad luck and a '7' more positively!

Exactly! First "7" is next to the Elevator and another "7" on the electrical box situated on the back side of the post numbered "6"(25:25).

Someone once posited a theory that it tied into Pixies song "Monkey Gone to Heaven" lyrics.

If man is 5
then the devil is 6
then god is 7

And of course, you've got the monkey saying "Judy" but I could never tie in the 5 anywhere prior to 6 and 7 showing up... and I can't remember where I read this "theory"

While I don't think that a Pixies song would influence David Lynch's numerology, the Pixies famously played a version of Eraserhead's "In Heaven" quite regularly.

There's no such thing as a bad coincidence.

I'd posted about the song in the "Lets talk about Judy" thread. Certainly wasn't a theory there; t'was just highlighting the pervasiveness of symbols, and the resultant synchronicity that can be found in the culture: in religions, philosophies, in art...

In a sence another 6 is situated on the electrical appliance near Woodsman(deleted scenes): D568-176. I mean 5+6+8+1+7+6=33. 3+3=6.
