Whatever makes sense in relation to Cooper's background works for me. Thing is, we don't know exactly what BOB means to his hosts other than his general connection to sexual abuse. I can definitely see a female aspect of BOB if they have decided to go down certain routes, or absolutely male in a number of other possibilities...
