Recall that Blake was also accused of killing his wife. Definitely a weird parallel. O.J.'s messed up.LateReg wrote:In Lost Highway Robert Blake's Mystery Man literally hands Bill Pullman the knife to slit his enemy's throat. Veey intriguing.

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread
Blake was found guilty (or whatever word salad they use, like with OJ) in a civil trial, but even if they’d gotten out of that, you’re guilty once you do it- not once a flawed and biased system says so.
In other random notices,
Watching Vegas, the Randy Quaid series- and Vegas, the James Caan series, green tea latte Frank/RR cook makes an appearance in the former in a very funny scene. The guy is just plain cute and good at what he does.
In the NBC show, LFB is the new casino owner starting in season 3. Her character is as well-written as the others, for what it is, and she does a lot with it. The only imdb comment is about her lip implants. Something like ‘I’m not against plastic surgery blah blah but feel the need to broadcast my manpinion about a woman’s looks making a show unwatchable’ which reminded me of the ‘Laura Dern is a hag and women are reactionary that I feel the need to say that’ sentiment over on Dissapointed.
Can’t help but wonder what she could have brought to Return, but her fate would have likely been an undignified one.

Very random today....:
This photo is probably the one that says most about what Twin Peaks was/is to me:
mysterious, dark, creepy, sad and beautiful.

Nice!
This is still my favorite still from all of TP. A glimpse only shown by a single strobe flash. BOB mourning over Laura's corpse. Surely posted this before. [edit: ha! I did, a year ago, oh well, definitely woth a repost.]

There's an Emmys For Your Consideration event tonight. Lynch, MacLachlan and Dern will be in attendance. They're going to screen the finale and then there's a discussion. I think you can follow along on twitter starting at 9:45 ET, according to a tweet from earlier today.

I just watched "The Resident" on Fox tonight. There were two original series actors in the episode: Kathleen Wilhoite and Dana Ashbrook! No scenes together though.

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread
There was a thread here once where I saw someone regrade the new series to look more like FWWM - can anyone link me to that by any chance? A cursory search didn't bring anything up.
Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread
This is a phenomenon I have come across again and again -- multiple Lynch and/or "TP" actors in the same project/show/movie, both before and after he worked with them. The examples are too numerous to mention. Of course actors of a certain caliber may run in the same circles, but it's coincidence. A weird one is 1989's "Silent Night, Deadly Night III: Better Watch Out" which has Beymer (who rarely did film roles), Da Re, and Laura Harring.Esselgee wrote:I just watched "The Resident" on Fox tonight. Yes! Silent Night Deadly Night III is the strangest example, for sure! I was so delighted seeing those actors appear. And stranger still, un-Lynch related, the direct to video film is directed by the great Monte Hellman.IcedOver wrote:This is a phenomenon I have come across again and again -- multiple Lynch and/or "TP" actors in the same project/show/movie, both before and after he worked with them. Bob Iger was the head of ABC entertainment in 1990. He is currently the CEO of The Walt Disney Co. The program might have ended up as the Twin Peaks/Cop Rock promo hosted by Alan Thicke, however they never introduced/previewed any new characters that I can remember.
