Thanks! That would suck but I suppose I can live with it - the premiere is probably the only one I'll watch live, so if the catchup has quick title animations in place of the breaks that's far from ideal but not the end of the world.

Having to pay a crap load for Sky and then having ads in the programmes is totally unreasonable to me.

You should at least have an option where you can pay more and not get ads. That's what Hulu eventually caved in on. I really care about this, since finding 45 mins to watch TV when you have two kids is measurably easier than finding an hour!

Btw, at least in Germany/Austria, Sky are struggling financially and therefore now even offer day-wise subscriptions. This might be good for us Peaks fans. I don't think I want to pay the "normal" monthly fee if I'm buying the DVDs afterwards anyway.

Hopefully there'll be a UK iTunes season pass with episodes available immediately after midnight! Otherwise, it'll be some sort of Now TV subscription. Basically, I don't want to deal with commercials. I don't have recording facilities and I haven't watched a TV drama with commercials in the better part of 20 years!

Not Norway either. Wonder if HBONordic (who I expect will distibrute this) or whoever it turns out to be, choose to hold back until the major PR campaign kicks in. Their answer though (hboN) when I contacted them recently was that it wasn't decided yet which channel gets the rights. Someone better hurry up now!

Where do you live in Sweden? I'll be in Stockholm for the premiere, watching via my Australian VPN!

lots of Swedes! I'm Swedish but living in London now. There was speculation that it'd be shown on HBO Nordic (because it has the earlier seasons), but evidently that's still undecided. I hope you guys get some kind of confirmation soon! I remember the show being fairly popular in Sweden, season 3 deserves a home!
