Who will be the next mayor of Twin Peaks?

Personally, I loved the character of Mayor Milford. The way that actor delivered his dialogue and mannerisms, were hilarious. I Crack up so hard when I'm watching the Mayor.

Anyway, with approximately 200 candidates to be the next Mayor. I can't help but wonder who it will be?

I wanted to hear from the community. Do you have any hopes or speculations on who the next mayor will be? And what actor/actress will play the part?

I hope we have a hologram Mayor Milford with Mike as Deputy Mayor.

My guess for no real reason is Ernie Hudson. He seems mayoral.

Ben Horne? He did have ambitions in politics, saying he was gonna run for senate sometime late in season 2.

Doesn't Audrey mention a Dwayne Milford Junior (that we never see, or never had previously heard of) in the final episode of S2? Maybe a new actor could be playing him as mayor...

I'm warm to the idea of Ben Horne as mayor - he's charismatic and could talk his way into public favour again, I'm sure.
His character became quite deflated in the end of Season 2 and I feel like his outward efforts to be good and truthful were not to last. One of the things I'm really curious about with the new season is if the fate of the characters matches up to what Lynch and Frost were planning just prior to its cancellation.

Seconding Ben (or, hell, Jerry) among the returning characters but I'm hoping for a new face. Hudson would indeed be mayoral and amazing!

Sometimes I think about recluse Harry... so he was originally meant to become a recluse (but why the drama if they planned to resolve all s2 cliffhangers as soon as possible?), then for s3 he was still written as Sheriff (despite having plenty more reasons to resign than in the old plans), but the universe said "no, recluse it is" and arranged for something like that to happen all the same?

Would be really funny if the new mayor was Walter Olkewicz as a "reformed" Renault cousin.

But it's going to be interesting to see if the mayor is another Milford type, a sort of ceremonial oaf that pops up randomly and with little consequence, or something else entirely.

Interesting. The one from fwwm looks a bit weaker and smaller but it's certainly possible. We don't really know if the show will even mention a new mayor, but it does seem likely that it'd come up.

Dwayne Milford Jr (character mentioned by audrey just before the bank explosion),the mayor being transmitted from father to son seems like the kind of thing they would do.

Or maybe Ben since as mentionned before he has some political ambitions.
