No word on which ones were added, but Sutherland said that Tim Roth didn't want his time on set to end so he asked for more scenes, and more scenes he got. So there are Hutchens scenes that were written by Lynch on set. Methinks the most likely suspects are the ones where it's just Chantal and Hutch rambling about stuff, like the Mormons dialogue. But it's all speculation on my part.

Much obliged! Whichever scenes they were, I think he made the right call (even if he just wanted to stay on set a bit longer!). Any less screentime, and Chantal & Hutch would've seemed a bit underdeveloped, I reckon.

Les Cahiers du Cinéma (France) - october 2017
"Twin Peaks : What happened ?"

This is the most important movie magazine in France.
And this is the second Twin Peaks cover this year !
(not yet found in my city, but apparently 30 pages on TPTR inside)

For the french readers, the editorial :

The two Twin Peaks covers from Les Cahiers du Cinéma looks extremely interesting. As you say, this is the most important movie magazine in France, and I expect real analysis and not just celebrity film writing. This is the magazine that once included Jean-Luc Godard and François Truffaut amongst its writers.

I would love to read it, but unfortunately I do not read French. Maybe we could start a Kickstarter campaign for translating it? I’m in!

I'm learning French and am happy to translate, but it'll take me a while. I have the first issue and am getting a French friend to post over the second one.

Wow! Cahiers du Cinéma. This is interesting indeed.

As a matter of fact, 'Chalfont' was the name of the people that rented this space before. Two Chalfonts. Weird, huh?

I've been hoping that Twin Peaks would feature on Cahiers best films list at the end of the year. I expect it to, actually, as I think they will consider it a film.

Surprise UK fest write-up in an Italian newspaper. The part to the left briefly describes the fest and throws in a couple of quotes from Sabrina Sutherland that don't tell anything new to this board - they haven't even talked about the possibility of a fourth season yet, right now Lynch is still working on the blu ray/DVD, then he's gonna do a retrospective, they gotta think about the campaign for the Emmys first too, ratings schmatings Showtime care about subscribers and anyway they know full well that producing a work of art has a value of its own that won't be forgotten in the future.
On the right, a Fenn interview:

Q: Sherilyn, what do you think was Audrey's fate?
A: I have my idea. She is for sure in a world that is "different" from the one the other characters inhabit. Fans have said that she may be in a coma, or that she's dead, but I don't see such a dark fate for her. For me, she lives like in a dream dimension, I like to think that there's a light in her, that the darkness didn't win.

Q: what did Lynch tell you on the set of "The Return"?
A: He told me: this scene, do it like you did it 25 years ago. But it was frustrating, because I'm not the same person I was 25 years ago. Furthermore, back then, we often filmed without a script. But this time we had a script.

Q: And what did you feel when you read it?
A: The first time I read about Audrey I started to cry. I didn't like the first version of the script, I opposed it, I walked away. And eventually, David changed it.

Q: Audrey was (past tense in the source text - TN) a much loved character.
A: Yes, I got mail from so many girls. They told me that Audrey was a role model for them, a strong girl they could take as an inspiration.

Q: Gotta say, Twin Peaks also scared an entire generation...
A: Yes, that's true. Where were your parents when you were watching us on tv?

Q: Would you come back for a fourth season?
A: For sure. I would be ready to put up my dukes and take on David again.

Thanks for the translation. My new mission in life is now to get a look at the script she objected to!

Yeah, really. What could she have been so sad about that she got Lynch to change it? Especially since it currently comes off as hopeless and depressing. She just needs to spill the beans.
