Does anyone else get a feeling that what Laura Palmer whispered into the good Dale's ear (S03E01) triggered her being taken off to the White Lodge, the place of virtue (as Windom Earle says). We should be seeing it soon enough. We have seen the Black Lodge, the Waiting room and perhaps we will be introduced to the other half. I hope....
Thoughts?

If I'm heading to a good place, I'm not screaming my way there. I doubt it highly.

Maybe she didn't know it though. That's why the scream.

I think she's been expelled in some way. Maybe Coop had to find her somewhere in the Black Lodge or maybe, tying in with Lost Highway, she's being punished by being reincarnated as Becky, forced to relive her fall from innocence over and over.

I think the Laura we saw in the premiere was post-FWWM/her ascension to the White Lodge. We know other spirits affiliated with the WL can come and go to the Red Room. I think she appeared/visited again to aid Cooper and was then unexpectedly assaulted and spirited away - to where we don't know.

Not 100% we saw good Laura. Someone tricked Cooper into leaving...

This might be a stupid question but in terms of locations seen:

Is the red room the waiting area, hence the black and white floor?

Is the convenience store the black lodge?

Is the scene with Coop and the Giant the white lodge?

The convenience store is above someplace so maybe mabe not..

As for Laura I don't think she is in the white Lodge now. Cooper's job was to find her and of coure he didn't he had no clue as to where she was. If however he still had his memory by now I think he would have. I hope we get some clues soon about what happened to Laura I hoped Sarah could provide some answers as she has had strange dreams of Laura in the final episode of S2 and I think her visit to the convenience store with the smoked beef jerky and the girl who resembled Laura serving her at the cash point ma all have been relevant somehow. It's like Laura is just floating out there in space waiting for help, maybe she did get expelled from the Black Lodge.
