Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)

Some guy tweeted a response to that, saying it's a play she's doing.

I do not believe there would be filming (of anything substantial) without an official announcement first. I just can't imagine them pulling that off in secrecy. IF anything substantial is coming, my best bet would be that the cast and core crew just got their first phone calls/contracts and that somehow HHM got wind of it.

Or HHM got the info from Jen Lynch? But I am 100% convinced about a continuation. The fact that none of the stakeholders or actors have declined these rumours are a huge green flag

I always assumed the tweet referred to some kind of announcement coming next year, or maybe a sooner announcement of something(like production) starting next year, not that someone is somehow already privy to the release date of something no one even knew exists, that was created in total secrecy.
Just the far more likely possibility, I think.

Long story short: they heard it from a "friend" with "Hollywood ties" who was at a party and was told by some "executives" that they heard it was going to be two seasons and a movie. How do they do this with a straight face?

Yep, I won't be surprised if this turns out not true, lol. The woman in the video insisted her long time friend was a very trustworthy individual, though. On the other hand, the trustworthiness of those executives is unknownBGate wrote:Long story short: they heard it from a "friend" with "Hollywood ties" who was at a party and was told by some "executives" that they heard it was going to be two seasons and a movie. Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
It saddens me to see such bad will and distrust (maybe even hostility?) directed towards O & A YouTube channel. Maybe these guys did like their jokes a bit too much back in the day and perhaps they did throw some of the rumors that came their way re: S3 into the ether a bit hastily, without checking their credibility, but I never took them for anything less than harmless, uberpassionate TP fans like those visiting this forum. The guy running it is hugely knowledgeable when it comes to all things TP and contributed some excellent analyses of its universe over time - he always has something meaningful to say about its many faces, themes, and topics. His channel has been going strong for years now and is one of the regular sources for me to get my TP talk fix, even when there's nothing happening (or seems like nothing's happening) - it's a wellcoming, pleasant place for any TP fan to wallow in his obssession. He hosted some interesting guests on the show over the years, like Jennifer Lynch and James Marshall, for instance. Plus he's currently in the process of bringing his very own TP related fan film to the screen, which some of the TP cast have endorsed in the process of gathering funds for the project.
Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Here's a thought. It would be quite easy to describe S3 as two seasons and a movie if it was written slightly differently to provide break points. So this could reflect a desire to shape new material unconventionally. Or it's just bollocks!
Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
So the David Lynch tweet about the people of King County started all this, right? Then the Salish Lodge posted, and then Hollywood Horror Museum.
Looking through Lynch's twitter, it seems he posted about Twin Peaks not long before the people of King County tweet - about a month before, regarding the new box set, Twin Peaks From Z To A (he just posted a picture of it). https://twitter.com/DAVID_LYNCH/status/ ... 4290023424
So is it possible his next tweet and the Salish Lodge being closed was simply to film something short for that boxset (which isn't out yet)? If Lynch is promoting the boxset, then it could be linked. (And I think Mark Frost also tweeted about the boxset, though not sure if it was this boxset or the Television one?)
Anyway, what if all of this is just some DVD/Blu-Ray featurette filmed in Salish Lodge or in that area and that's why Lynch tweeted? (It might also connect Rebekkah Del Rio to the area around the same time.) And then everything snowballed from there to the point where it seemed like TP might be returning!
But couple of things to note:
HHM said they wouldn't waste people's time tweeting about something as small as a featurette.
Michael Horse's post does seem suggestive. Provocative too and could be a joke, but it seems pretty suggestive.
Kyle McLachan's tweet also seems pretty suggestive (but other people have pointed out he posts about TP at other times).
Other than the HHM tweet and these couple of suggestive tweets from the cast, the rest of it could be connected to the box set. I think it's more myself and I do think the cast tweeting indicates something brewing, but just thought I'd point out Lynch's tweet about the boxset just in case that's all this is about.

I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.

I think it’s way too late for them to be shooting anything that would end up on the set, which comes out in a couple of months. I imagine the content was finalized months ago.

Yeah, that's a good point. I just thought I'd mention it just in case that's all it is, as it seems Lynch mentioning TP in a tweet started the rumors but he had tweeted about that TP boxset just a few weeks before so they seem pretty close.Mr. Reindeer wrote:I think it’s way too late for them to be shooting anything that would end up on the set, which comes out in a couple of months. Other than how close we are to release, I’d agree. I’m all for tempering expectations! I’m cautiously optimistic, but we still don’t have too much to go on.Jonah wrote:Yeah, that's a good point. I think the most curious aspects are Hawk and Coop tweeting about this. Plus all the stuff about the Salish Lodge and those HHM tweets. There seems to be something there in the midst of all of that. I'm surprised people aren't making a bigger deal of Rebekkah Del Rio being in Laura Palmer's house around the time the Salish Lodge was closed. That seems a bit weird to me, but so far people aren't talking about it that much. Jasper pointed out that it seems like a big deal, and I agree.
Anyway, I think something is brewing. I'd almost love it if it was just a new movie like Netflix's BB movie. Also, I'm going to be alone on this one (probably) but something else I'd be down for would be Showtime launching a new season (or seasons) and Lynch being in control of the first episode or "pilot" and filming that, then taking a back seat as an executive, with Mark Frost or others taking charge as showrunners, and Lynch frequently popping back up to write/direct other episodes. Much like the original run. I just feel that that's the only way a new season of TP could get on the air sooner (if Lynch just filmed one episode and a team was in charge of additional episodes). But otherwise I'd be happy with a Lynch movie. Those are the only two ways I see new TP content being released as early as 2020. If it's anything more than a movie that Lynch is fully in charge of, like a full season like TP:TR where he's directing every single episode in one block of filming, then it will be 2021 or 2022 or later until we see it.

Can someone remind me why these guys had breakfast together in January 2018?
