Has anyone made this connection

I'm sure they have with the amount of analysis out there. I will throw it out there either way:

In French - Tre = Three/ Monde = World....

Tremonde = Three worlds..

Isn't the French word for 3, 'trois'?

Some words like trefoil ('three leaves') come from latin via old french.

A name like Tremond could also be a corruption/variation on Tremont (also a name) meaning 'three mountains'. Triple peaks. :roll:

OR OR OR

A stab at Tremens: quaking, as in delirium tremens, or awe as in holy dread mysterium tremens

Thanks. Tremondous fun!
As a matter of fact, 'Chalfont' was the name of the people that rented this space before. Two Chalfonts. Weird, huh?

This is very strange indeed: Drgarage brought up the etymology of 'Tremonde' in the part 18 thread, which I responded to with a variation of what you said above. But it seems you posted first, so hats off! :D
I'm not sure that the name's deeper meaning was intentional on the part of Lynch/Frost (although it may well have been), but I always welcome any coincidences/synchronicities that come my way. :)

(btw, there's a nice little etymology avenue the part 18 thread wanders down if you haven't seen it yet)

That´s interesting. So what does Chalfont mean? Couldn´t find anything on it.
