Surround or original sound mix?

Post by shemsha »

I plan to watch the show again when I'll get my gold box.

What do you recommend? The original mix or the surround?

Thanks!

Original. Except if you have a really cool 5.1 setup. I bet there won't be much going on in the rear channels anyway since Lynch normally hates that. But don't listen to me, I prefer mono when it comes to music. :)

Anyone know yet if they've fixed the missing dialogue in the second to last episode?

I would guess that they left it as is since they included the original audio mix.

My guess is season 2 will look and sound (5.1 mixes, I mean) exactly the same as the set from earlier this year. Season 1 will be different, probably.

Have someone noticed the differences between the audiomixes?

In the new dvd set I just discovered that some dialogue is not included in the original mix, but Cooper's line in episode 28 is back.
It's minor things but still annoying.

The audio that's gone is in episode 5 in the Invitation to love segment in the RR Diner with Shelly, and in episode 11 also in the Diner before Hank notice the asian man, the line "oh fart".
