for what it is worth, during the donahue show interview, mark frost was asked if he really believed in the supernatural (not specifically the occult), and he said he did not, but that he found it interesting to think about.

oh. there is more genaro in that book if i remember correctly who is a fun character to read about. also yes, in that one in particular, the idea of doubles and of the crack in the worlds has a kind of twin peaks resonance.

Nice to see some interest in this old thread. I noticed that they made a Twin Peaks Tarot deck, but I sort of disagreed with some of the characters they used for the different cards.

I was intrigued to see references to Crowley and also Scientology in the recent novel.

yes it was a weird coincidence that i had just read bios of both jack parsons and marjorie cameron last summer, and was thinking about some similarites between the log lady, margaret lanterman, and marjorie cameron - and then there turned out to be references in the novel.

i saw the tarot deck too, it is nice i think. every fan would probably see some things to change but stiil, it is certainly a pretty ambitious undertaking from a purely graphic design perspective.

LostInTheMovie's Journey Through Twin Peaks series touches on the theosophic occultism present throughout the second season, and Mark's new book is overflowing with the occult. Crowley, Parsons, Scientology, Freemasonry, the Illuminati, they all get mentioned.
