I'll be checking my discs this weekend however, I've watch all the extra, the Pilot, and Episode 29 of the new box set and have not noticed any lip synch problems. What happens if you switch between the 5.1 and 2.0 tracks? Many times it is due to the DVD player as I had an old Sony DVD player that would have synch problems on most DTS tracks and some Dolby tracks. Once I got a new player (a cheaper one I might add) I no longer have these issues. But since you are seeing it with three DVD players, I think it might be a bad disc itself.

I'll let you know once I check my set out this weekend.

I checked my disc one today for Episode 1 and could not detect an audio synch problem.

Let me know if there are any other specific epsiodes that you would want me to check out.

Interesting, I had a feeling mine was very very slightly off (disc 2 - only got that far so far), but i meen very slightly - perhaps 0.1 seconds or something like that.

yeah, its a strange there's all these funny little flaws with it, although maybe its best to think of a quirky box set for a quirky show?!

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I've noticed the same audio/video sync problems with my Gold Box set (Region 2, Scandinavian version, postcards included, Toshiba DVD player and CRT TV). It appears to be limited to some scenes in Season 1, usually when Cooper is speaking. A good example is in Episode 4 when Coop is recording a message to Diane about buying real estate in Twin Peaks. The same problem exists with the 5.1 and 2.0 soundtracks. I've also got the Season One UK DVDs and these do not have any sync problems. I wonder if the recent UK release of the Gold Box has the same problems?

I recently re-watched the entire Gold Box and I think this is the first time I'd watched Season 1 from this set as I'd previously used the old Artisan boxset - anyway I ended up having to watch it on my PC because the audio synch was bugging me so much. It didn't seem so bad on the PC (in fact some episodes seemed just fine) but playing them through a Panasonic Blu-Ray player on an LG HD plasma was just awful (so far it's the only time this has happened) - not to mention the upscaled DVDs on a 50" screen didn't look great - again on the PC it was fine.

Here's hoping they release Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray some day and I can buy the series for a third time! :)
