That's the recap from before episode 24. But if I was reading things correctly, people were also talking about a season 2 trailer... something that aired before the second season.

That's right. I too then don't remember the Season 2 Teaser. I also have the Archive DVD somewhere and will check it out when I get a chance.

I think that is what people are referring to- the recap after the hiatus.

I believe the only trailer for season two came at the end of the rerun of the first season finale- and it featured the Giant in voiceover and the tracking shot of the donuts in the sheriff's conference room, "I will tell you three things. If they come true, then will you believe me?" I think it also faded to the blurred version of BOB walking towards the camera.

Everything I tried to tape before the second season premiered gave no hints to scenes -all we had were the photos from TIME -Cooper shot, Audrey by the OEJ curtain, The Giant, Ben talking to Josie.

Yes, that is the promo as Audrey described. Normally when I recorded Twin Peaks off-air, I edited out the commercials. However, every once in a awhile, I had to go out of town and set the timer on my VCR to record the show. Fortunately, episode 7 is one that I have uncut with all commercials and promos (maybe the next thing in TP fandom is to collect all of the original uncut off-air's?)

It really is a cool promo. It fore-shadow's the darker 'supernatural' turn the show would further delve into. Audrey is right, it aired right before the end credits to episode 7 (during the summer repeat of season 1) It came right after a string of commercials and right after a promo for 'Life Goes On'.

Hopefully this will be included on the upcoming Blu-Ray (along with a bunch of other exclusive content promos)

Audrey - do you happen to remember what issue of Newsweek that was?

It's October 1, 1990, pg. 78.

I don't have the issue, just the torn out page. Caption: Peeking at the New 'Peaks'

I'll scan it and post it tomorrow. It came out a few days before the premiere and hinted at a few details. Has the two women cops walking the sniffing dogs by the traincar; Cooper in the conference room; the Shelly, Leo, Bobby diner pic; a Josie still; and the Maddy, Donna pic.

that was an exciting week -Entertainment Weekly's Audrey/Cooper cover; Rolling Stone cover, the Newsweek article, Kyle hosting SNL. Sunday night couldn't come fast enough.

Blu-ray new special features rumoured?

Post by Coffee »

Over on the very cool Twin Peaks Archive website it mentions that "Twin Peaks series on Blu-Ray rumored for April 2010. New features are also rumored - something big perhaps?".

I haven't seen any rumours of special features anywhere. Has anybody seen this mentioned elsewhere? Do we know anything more about these rumours?

Coffee - we've been tipped off from a reliable source that there is a desire to add new features to the Blu-Ray set. Whether this desire turns into reality, only time will tell. Consider it nothing more than a rumor.

Interesting.

I wonder whether they'll go for it though. Twin Peaks is owned by CBS/Paramount in America I believe. CBS/Paramount are the ones that worked on the Star Trek TOS Blu-ray set which is first rate, both in terms of audio/visual and extra features.

However we're all aware that Lynch is against the idea of using tools such a picture-in-picture which automatically kills off that potential opportunity.

Audrey, could I ask you a big favor? Could you tell me who is credited with the Maddy/Donna and the Pilot/Traincar photo? Thank you! Actually could you tell me who is credited with all of them?
