Doesn't he still have to extract some sort information from Ray first, who is also in prison? Supposedly Ray got some info from Hastings' secretary for DoppelCoop. Also, DoppelCoop will likely murder Ray for accepting the contract on his life.
Yeah I believe he was suppose to but who knows if it's even the same prison as Ray. If it is I hope that's wrapped up next episode to progress the story

Funny that the consensus seems to be that Doris was portrayed as an unreasonable lunatic and Frank as henpecked. While I agree that there is some element of "henpecked husband" in the scene, I also thought the joke was that Frank gives her literally NOTHING in terms of emotional or practical support. He didn't bother to tell her that he got her dad's car looked at two hours ago (he couldn't send a quick text?), his "bucket" advice is wildly unhelpful. I thought her exasperation was very much justified, even if it was exaggerated as if playing to the cheap seats (intentional stylistic choice, I have no doubt). I took the gag as being about a marriage where the partners are wildly unsuited for one another in terms of temperament, not "aren't women so crazy?"

And Clark's performance tickled me more than anything Lucy or Andy have done so far. The weird little gesture where she pulls her sweater open for no reason is hysterical.

What if there is a connection between Wally Brando and Richard Horne?

I don't think this is a huge deal, but Wally's birthday is inconsistent with the timeline established in the original series. His April 3rd birthday doesn't line up with his (roughly) January conception date.

What if Andy and Lucy had a son and it was a real shitty biker rebel type, and they had to put him up for adoption. This kid later became Richard Horne.

Wally Brando could be their second son, or maybe some adopted kid (a la Lil' Nicky), or even a paid actor. Maybe Wally Brando is the child from Coop/DoppelCoop and Audrey, but with Coop's absence and Audrey's post-bank bomb condition she had to give him up. There still might be a timeline issue here, but it could be explained away with Lodge shenanigans or some secret meeting between DoppelCoop and Audrey a few months after the original finale.

I'm probably just conflating these two offspring of original characters, but I will say that that odd family picture behind Lucy's desk gives me cause for concern. It looks so blatantly fake that it always calls attention to itself, and it is in a lot of shots. I don't know about Richard per se, but something is unusual about Wally.

Well, Richard Horne and Linda X link seems "logic". Instead of Sonny Jim, Linda might be the daughter of Good Coop and Richard the son of Bad Coop? The idea kind of reminds me of Carnivale, for those who have seen the show.

Yeah, and if someone wants to claim the scene was making fun of women and using stereotypes, they should also acknowledge how Frank was dealt in a jokey stereotypical way as well. It made fun of both the woman who might act like that and the man who don't take others worries that seriously and gives "simple" advices like "get a bigger bucket", and neither of them was shown to be awful persons because of it and it didn't say all women are like or all men are like that. It just made fun of some being like that.

Normonaut your comment was hysterical.

I hated the scene the first night and watched it again thinking about what you wrote (I am married).

Absolutely pitch perfect scene on re-watch.

I find all the comedy/quirk is better on re-watch. Usually I am really just geeked for mainline story the first night and anything else gets me antsy so I suffer through it.

But keep the funny stuff coming please, some people like to laugh.

The choice of the 1980 Firebird/Trans Am for Steven is Just Freakin' Perfect. Aside from the fact that the Firebird had T-tops for that incredible sequence of a satisfied Becky soaking up the view, the car just oozes the right amount of sleeze, without going into Leo territory (his drug money modern Corvette).

Wait a minute... Just remembered that Bobby changed out from a 60's Cuda (in the pilot) to -- a 1979 Firebird! Nearly the same as Steven, just a different color.

One more thing: also nice to see the cars actually driving, with rubber on the road, instead of being dollyed around.

This may have been mentioned (don't have time to look through 40 pages of forum). Does anybody else have a pet peeve with situations when movies or TV shows use production photos as photos of characters? This is done so often. They'll use still photos of characters from a particular scene which were taken by the on-set photographer or paused in the movie/show itself. That was the case with this episode and Cooper's photo. Couldn't they have gone back and found some on-set pic of MacLachlan just smiling, or a candid shot or something? It's so lazy and obvious.

I thought a lot about our dear Dougie today -- he's kind like a son to all of us, audience's children, I think -- and I was wondering : after "Dougie at the casino", "Dougie eats breakfast" and "Dougie at work", isn't the next step supposed to be "Dougie learns the Alphabet" ? A, B, C, D... :)

Lynch would come full circle here ! That's why I really love the Dougie storyline. Because in a way it feels like what's most original and new compared to Lynch's previous works (the absurd adventure of a grown-man baby), and yet it's something that had always his roots deep in Lynch universe. It's really about the terror of the adult world. That's what I love the most this season.

We love you Dougie !!! :D
The scene where Coop and Jade are driving thru Rancho Rosa, Coop seems to take notice of the Sycamore St. sign. Looks like he don't have to drool us thru school as well.
