About "Jade" the girl that Good Coop finds himself in the house with immediately after taking Dougie's place:

She is wearing a golden bracelet with the same size gold beads as the one that Dougie transformed into.

She is wearing fuchsia boots, with matching fuchsia lipstick and a matching fuchsia purse. It strikes me as not a coincidence that it all matches the fuchsia room and fuchsia dress the Asian girl with no eyes was in.

Jade is a stone precious in Asia, that is said to a) bring wealth and b) protect the wearer.

What if the Girl With No Eyes that helped Cooper by throwing the switch tried to reassure him that she would meet him "down there" and Jade is the manifestation of the Girl With No Eyes.

Jade didn't seem genuinely shocked by any of it, and please note, the Garmonbozia was so wretched when the cops encountered it, that as Tammy said, it out them in the hospital, Jade takes a whiff and gives and unconvincing ewww.

Of course, Evil Coop's would probably be worse.

Jade also sarcastically says, "Jade has to give you two rides, Dougie?"

I know this could be, on the surface a reference to the business they were apparently engaged in prior, however, it could also be a reference to flipping the switch.

Finally, Jade says the exact line, "You can go out now."

What if he is being guided by Lodge inhabitants in their earthly forms? Even Janey-E and Sonny Jim seem just a little too easy to accept his state.

Besides, not only does the owl fly over their house, there's also an owl in the kitchen.

"The owls are not what they seem."

Film Score Reject's episode recapper, H. Perry Horton, has the most interesting theory I've heard about the nature of the source of information Bad Cooper is seeking:

this info he’s seeking, it might be in the possession of Ben Horne; when Coop asks one of his cohorts for an update, the fella mentions he’s got an in with the source’s new secretary. Earlier in the episode we met Ben Horne’s new secretary, Beverly, played by Ashley Judd; given the actress’ star quality and the fact that otherwise the Horne scene has no real purpose other than updating characters, expect Bev to be more than just a secretary, kind of like Jones was to Thomas Eckhardt in the original series.

From: https://filmschoolrejects.com/biggest-s ... nt-return/
I'm pretty sure it's explicitly said that he's seeking info from BILL HASTINGS's secretary (Matthew Lillard's character). We know Bill's secretary is named Betty, and he gave her a ride home after a Friday night meeting. Some have speculated it's Betty Briggs.

Wonderful & Strange wrote: Cooper and Bad Coop are both part of the same time period. That's why Mike says one of them has to die; they're sharing the same space.

If Cooper was sent to 2003, they would still be sharing the same space (just in 2003). The dweller-on-the-threshold version of Cooper has existed in the real world from 1991 or so, right through to today.

This has probably already been said too, but the woman who phones Cole in Part 3 to tell him about the reemergence of "Cooper" sure sounds like Laura Dern.

Also, the bell on top of the metal structure in space at the start of Episode 3 doesn't have the crack (that I could see) that distinguishes the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia (a prominent cutaway in FWW), but I immediately thought of said Liberty Bell and FWWM during that scene.

Also, the person who gave Droolcooper his change at the casino was played by Meg Foster of "They Live"!

Is it a bell? I thought it was kind of domestic structure like an old boiler. It appears to have some kind of dial on it. i.e. It is mechanical - it performs a function.

It also looks like something that could have appeared in Eraserhead.

Apropos of nothing: has anyone checked whether the Roadhouse performers are lip syncing to the studio recordings (a la Julee) or singing new versions made specially for the show?

Sorry, shoulda been more specific. I was wondering if they're lip syncing to the studio versions or to new versions specially recorded for TP.

I never would have guessed that Matthew Lillard would have a bigger role than Ashley Judd or Richard Chamberlain -- or that I would be so impressed by his work. Bill's great, can't wait to see more.

It's been a week, I'm officially jonesing for more.

Wow. Everybody in that casino is doing everything they can to help Dougie. Watch Meg Foster's hands guide him in a certain direction. He's being guided to each winning machine by the gold flamed Lodge Bubble. The management is telling him to comeback.

After Dougie goes through the swinging doors, did another yellow Wrangler drive up?

A yellow wrangler definitely shows up in the window reflection on the opposite side of where it drove off.
Hard to tell if it's Jade still trying to leave the Casino driveway, or if it's a new different one coming in.
Agent Cooper. Listen to the sounds.
It is in our house now. It all can not be said aloud now.

And isn't Jade the rock of the Ring ( the owl cave ring that Dougie has ) ?
