What we're talking about is from the "it is happening again" trailer (I think).

I think it's probably Gerard/Mike, but who knows. We don't actually know if this is the Lodge or if this is in the real world. I don't think we've seen this yet any way.

EDIT: The picture was manipulated, it doesn't look like that in the trailer. BEARisonFord is to thank for the sterling work.
Oh, yeah that definitely is Mike to me.

I earlier made a typo and said he seemed to have his right arm when I meant left arm. But now I see there is only the sleeve and you can not see his left hand. For some reason I had thought I had seen the left hand too.

But really, there seems to be only his left sleeve without the hand. And you can see his right hand there a bit.

That is so clearly Mike to me.

He didn't. But he cried in private, with Jacoby. Also I think Bobby is likely matured and more in touch with his honest self these days. Seeing Laura after all this time hits him hard - she made him into a different kind of person, from boy to man. I bought it.

I am a long time fan, bought my episodes via import on VHS back in the day until I got hold of a box-set - loved every minute of it. Was more disturbed by FWWM though, because of the radically different tone and less TP-feeling. This SE3 however - although more in tone with FWMM - I have to admit, I am totally hooked and amazed.

Except for some of the CGI and absence of Angelo (which I am sure will return more and more proceeding into the season), I am totally amazed. Yes, acting is slow, scenes could've been cut 10% earlier in most cases, but it's all there. And so much more, it is much more understandable than Mulholland Drive or FWMM and I cannot express how shook up I was since yesterday, processing this. This is an outstanding piece of art, a very fine art. I even love that tree. Man that tree... my wife is gonna freak out if she see's this tonight. I hope she won't bail out of the series, it's such a masterpiece.

During that last trailer before the show hit, I was wondering who that Chrysta Bell was. She was unbearable the way she described herself within the project. Never heard any of her music either. But she is actually quite good in the show, more serious and good looking, striking... although she walks like a model sometimes. But hey, who says intelligent and good-looking women can't use their physical appearance as well to their advantage?

And Coop, man that Coop. Kyle McLachlan is doing an incredible job, he is so sincere and honest in his acting. Didn't think he'd be able to portray a villain like that. And in the Casino is was so heartwarming, so sincere to his character - I was totally blown away.

Cannot wait for EP5. I bought Sky just for this series and damn it's worth it.

Agree 100%. Bobby cries instantly 25 years later when he sees a photo of Laura? Did he even cry at the funeral?
I don't see what's the problem with that. Bobby clearly broke some of the wall that was surrounding him emotionally during the original series. He cried when his father told him about the dream. He cried in a therapy session with Jacoby.

I think during the years he has become more open with his emotions and I think he had forgotten Laura and the past pretty much completely and seeing the picture really gave him a blast of past memories.

Right now, I would consider that question to be one of the central mysteries, if not THE central mystery, of the series.

I have not heard of any theories so far.

So yeah...

I have rewatched all 4 parts twice now, 3 views in total, and as I have said before the production quality is just not there in my opinion.

Before someone chimes in and tries to group me in with the nostalgia crowd, that ain't me. I love the darker elements of Twin Peaks the most, for me Fire Walk With Me is my favorite film.

I was hoping for the production quality akin to 2012s "Crazy Clown Time" video.

For me, that is just visually amazing and creative. I was hoping for a mix of this, Fire Walk With Me and Inland Empire.

For those of you enjoying The Return so far, that's great I am happy for you.

Rancho Rosa, by and large, was the scariest part of all so far.

Can you imagine living in that hood?

1-1-9 scene - I had interpreted that as an homage to the state of America on 11/9 - it's a stretch, but the symbolism of the ever increasing real life stat of the addicted house mom gives it some credence.

Back to Rancho Rosa - Sycamore Street was a great little detail. He pulls out the Great Northern Key. Who the heck were the 2 guys trying to snipe him and who sent them?

As referenced by many, I think we will get a return to Twin Peaks within this return to Twin Peaks and it will be glorious.

And the Bobby thing - strange he didn't tell anyone about the last meeting with his dad/Coop. Something's up there I agree.

We are all Dougie in here right now.

Oh!
Just realized it will be fun to eventually read the now hidden original Spoilers thread and read what everyone thought about the leaked picture of Cooper wearing the green jacket behind the scenes :D

I bet no one would've believed it's Cooper wearing the jacket of Dougie, who is gone now and turned into a sphere but who Cooper is now thought to be, and Cooper is senile from getting out of the Lodge.

Imagine if THIS image would've been leaked:

The Giant specifically says: "Remember … 430. Richard and Linda."

That would indicate to me they're people Coop's already familiar with. 430 could maybe be the number of the case or some sort of important date.

Possibly. I am going to try and wrack my brain and come up with my own theory after a few rewatches, but right now, nothing comes to mind.

Then again, when the Giant gave the clues about the 'man in the smiling bag', I never would have guessed that in a million years!

Also, we are not even sure that IS the Giant and we are not sure if that is in the Black Lodge. Very mysterious.

So far my favorite scene has to be Bad Coop in prison talking to Cole. Chills! Kyle was so good in that scene and I love what they did to his voice.

As soon as I saw Rancho Rosa was a suburban residential development, I immediately thought of 'Rio Rancho Estates' from the film/play Glengarry Glen Ross.

I think 430 refers to time. At 4:30 something will happen.

Like I think 253 was mentioned by the new Arm and it ended up being a time too. (could be I'm remembering it wrong though)

Yep 2:53 was definitely the time when transition was suppose to happen. IIRC 320 was mentioned as well at some time ,haha.

My first thought was that she may be in the early stages of dementia since the show was dealing with the effect time has on people. I hope I'm wrong. So much to take in but all incredible. I'll post an in depth review after a few more viewings.
I am surprised I had to read thru 33 pages of comments before someone brought this up. At one point Andy says to Lucy something akin to "But Pookie, you are really good at your job" - and that sunk it for me - the blending of comedy and tragedy. 25 years ago Lucy was semi-competent at best; but she was the true first point of contact for the TP Police force. It appears to me at this point that the new Sheriff Truman is keeping Lucy at the front desk as an act of charity to her and Andy - she clearly has no job to do any more (note the modern switchboard/dispatcher in the true office, the game of solitaire on Lucy's desk) and the signs of some form of dementia/Alzheimer's (her shock encountering Sherriff Truman on a cell phone) balanced against he clear recollection of eating a chocolate bunny 25 years ago.).

I may be reading these signs wrong, but if not it lends a lot more depth to these comic scenes that many have noted seem over the top.
